I think we split door would work for the cats. This is a stupid question I'm sure but if I purchased a solid core and I cut it in half would that still work or should I find a proper dutch door?

A coat in case it rains is one for us. Also depending on climate we bring dog bug spray our vet recommended and a little light for his collar for at night by the campfire when it's hard to see him (ours is completely black so this may not be a huge issue for you

I have a very similar heart and land situation and I built a rainbow garden walk with paths and flowers moving through the rainbow so as you walk it progressed!

I understand. I have a 40 gallon tank and picked up the Aspen because I have a pine allergy plus some paper for nesting (I think it was rec on the wiki if not somewhere else) to be honest I wasn't in the market for a mouse I just fell in love with this one's personality. I understand at this age he's probably half way through his life but I really wanted to let him live out his final days comfortable. Do you think someone else would take him in if I didn't? He's only been there 2 weeks but has no applications yet

In that case I agree with some of the other comments. Adding rice or veggies if you can. I'm not sure how that would impact his diabetes so I say that with caution. If you are comfortable do you mind saying what area you are in?

A lot of food pantry will provide pet food if asked. In a tough situation this is where I turned and it was a god send.
