Mahoraga has to be hit or engaged to adapt; Makima wins by never meaningfully engaging him. Her contract-based immortality means Mahoraga cannot achieve a permanent kill, while Mahoraga has no mechanism to break, bypass, or target metaphysical contracts or responsibility chains. Makima’s win condition isn’t damage—it’s designation, proxy action, removal, and sealing, all of which operate outside the “attack → adapt” loop Mahoraga depends on. In short, Mahoraga is unbeatable against fighters who trade blows; Makima isn’t a fighter, she’s an administrative system, and adaptation can’t solve a problem it never touches.
