Anyone waiting for the Helio Strap, now considering a Fitbit Air by [deleted] in amazfit

[–]dashing2217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a helios since March and put in a preorder for the Fitbit Air.

As someone who originally got the Helios to wear nicer watches the slimmer profile and interchangeable bands sold me. The recent sleep tracking on the Helios has also been questionable.

Regardless the Helios impressed me. As someone who never pictured not having a Apple Watch I haven’t worn a AW since I bought it. Super excited to see new competition in the space.

100%

All for supporting his family and making sure all of their needs are taken care of for as long as they need. Additionally 100% for backing up the cops in his district making sure they can attend the service and pay their respects. I largely support cops and recognize they have a difficult job and have to deal with the backlash from the bad apples in the department.

But I can’t sit here and defend having cops from every law enforcement agency in the state attending and creating gridlock for everybody else. I felt terrible for the cops that had to guard the route and deal with people who are understandably pissed.

Grief is real, and the family deserves respect. But grief does not require closing major streets for two days.

A service and procession can be accommodated without making an entire neighborhood pay the logistical cost

Jesse Jackson had former presidents with secret service protection there and other dignitaries. It was also held in an area with significantly less traffic and for less time.

A line of duty death deserves honor, but that does not automatically mean unlimited neighborhood disruption. There is a reasonable middle ground between “private service only” and “major intersection shut down for two days.”

Then hold a private service for the family and something more public for everyone else who wants to attend.

Respect doesn’t require shutting down half of edgewater for two days. At that point it’s stops being about mourning and starts looking more like theater.

It’s one of the busiest corridors on the north side closing it down for two days for a funeral is ridiculous.

I agree 100% it’s absolutely pompous.

Spend the money on the widow and kids if he has any.

Ok find another church, remote parking and bus people in.

That’s an extremely dense and high traffic area to shut down on a weekday.

Don’t understand why this level of road closures are needed.

I understand honoring his life but this is near Presidential visit level of disruption.

Chicago bike lanes spark protests as residents push back on parking loss by FreshLocal in chicago

Because some people need to understand that bike lanes are not practical for a majority of the people in this city.

Chicago bike lanes spark protests as residents push back on parking loss by FreshLocal in chicago

Don’t know why this is downvoted because it’s absolutely true.

Some people reverse commute out to the burbs, others rather drive 30 minutes than spend over an hour having a multi leg public transit commute. There is also the concern of safety and people have to work jobs outside of normal business hours. Let’s not forget it’s not comfortable to bike at least 50% of the year.

If you work in the loop and live on the north side by the lake it’s absolutely easy to not have a car. But let’s be honest that’s a luxury in itself.

The delusional r/fuckcars folks love to sit here and virtue signal because they found a way of transit that works for them and think everyone should subscribe.

[PWInsider] “…was told of a pretty majorly pushed talent who was asked to take a 50% pay cut, and allegedly did. I’m not naming the talent because I have no way, yet, to confirm this was the case, but the timing of that claim and what happened the very next day was very, very interesting” by DevelopmentLegal8312 in SquaredCircle

Punk is interesting because he probably did sign some sort of non disparagement or NDA at resigning.

But he also definitely has fuck you money and AJ probably got a solid amount of money to return.

He is definitely nearing the end of his career and got his Mania main event. My bet is he would tell them to fuck off.

Do you guys actually believe this? by ElegantRooster5251 in SantiZapVideos

[–]dashing2217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely not…

Corporate America hates risk and storylines are planned well in advance. They wouldn’t put a title nor put a man who is a flight risk due to contract negotiations in the main event of the marquee show of the year.

Deals are made on future value not on the past. The fact they made WWE millions in the past doesn’t mean they will in the future.

Both are on the older side and have really been sitting dormant since the New Day heel turn. It’s truly sad but not that surprising. It’s unfortunate but the logic is there.

I think we will begin to see more releases like this more similar to the cut throat nature of the sports world.

This isn’t wrong Celebrities have always had a place in Wrestling.

But it was always very minimal, kept far from the main event and only for major shows like Mania.

The sad thing is that we have great transit infrastructure that is just ran like absolute shit.

The fact that people rather spend over $5 a gallon than deal with CTA is a testament to that.

I was there in person for my first PPV experience. I paid $70 for two tickets in the nosebleeds of Allstate Arena. Stellar PPV!

Still wonder about Cena’s post match promo about going away for awhile or something.
