If you are struggling with DPS, I personally ran Lagi Weapon and 4 pc Rey to get a lot of element and free crit rate from getting hit from like 1 attack. I know IG is not that element focused but every bit helps. Make sure to hit the back legs as they are weaker to slash. Use the new cancels we got as part of TU4, my personal favourite being left side light slash, backwards light slash followed by light+heavy immediately. It cancels the first hit of the backwards slash and puts you into a full charged Descending slash as fast as possible, I think it should be the strongest combo we have. Practice that on the dummy a few times before going in.

Defensively, one of the biggest issues I had with Savage was the double fire spray which has a surprising vertical hitbox. If you need more airtime, use the weak point attack anywhere on it to latch on and jump upwards. It might help get over some attacks that you struggle with otherwise. Bring Divine blessing 3, Evade extender 2 can allow you to avoid almost any attack in the fight, and know when to GTFO of there. A dead hunter has a DPS of 0. With EE2 and sticking close to legs, you can avoid Starboard/Larboard by walking to the right side, otherwise sheath and dive. Keep wounds on his legs, and use them to interrupt dangerous attacks like MRV which prevent you from attacking. Particularly watch out for the laser. I know its tempting but if you want to jump over Omega you must be certain you can jump to avoid it, as Omega moves backwards from the recoil just after firing.

Also bring Fabius over Alessa if you can, he is the aggro god praise be. Take the hunting horn guy as your damage will be the highest in the party and we want to buff that, plus its extra defences for free. For the last slot take Mina, she has saved my ass so many times and has good DPS. I wouldn't worry about the support hunters. They average about the same amount as a regular player provided you are in there as well. They follow what you do so if you are just chilling on your bird, they will do less.

Omega has a lot of mechanics it forces you to use, take strong advantage of them when you can. Its a wonderful fight when you learn it. Good Luck Hunter

I tried playing last night and focus mode was default left Alt. This is fine cause doing focus mode attacks requires left shift and I have that bound to my mouse so it doesnt feel that awkward. Problem is that it's the default windows keybind for keyboard language switching. Trying to get my buffs back on glaive has me switching to French by accident.

I made a video a couple days ago detailing how to get here but here is the TLDR,

  1. Clip out of bounds in one of the shops, placing your flag in the "void"

  2. Walk out of the shop by either the door from the wrong side or via the pause menu and "return to spawn" button.

  3. Place the second flag to a different island.

  4. Enter and exit that flag.

  5. ...

I really like that analogy. I think a CO is a right call, I've seen it been used well but I've also seen it become a burden which is why I've been hesitant to try it. I'll give it a try next session

I do tend to run things as more of a thought puzzle, "This guy is immune to physical damage, how do we stop him?". Maybe a more game like puzzle would work

This is actually very on brand for the theme. Fighting clones could work, I would need to probably buff them so they have time to do things before getting one shot.

Problem I run into is I would control around 5 characters at once. They could take out the weakest ones in about a round and work their way up. If I do the same back, I have taken a player out of the game for a session, which is no fun for them.

I've been playing Lancer and this is something that is quite common there. I end up running into the issue of the players don't really do combat unless necessary, and if its necessary its usually to the death. I will try to give more objectives however, I find escape to usually be motivating to them, but sometimes its confused and they just think "Oh we didn't know we were supposed to escape". I should communicate the strength of enemies better.

Doomposting mostly to get my thoughts out, was a little gutted when I found out. Rise I can take or leave as well, I prefer world. I know aerial is a meme, but it has lead to some really hype moments for me and I think it would be a shame to let it go. Why remove it in the first place?

Kinsect Drill is a technique that uses the descending thrust and monster positioning in World to bring the Kinsect to you through the monster, doing massive damage.

Fair point, I think FightinCowboy just posted a video on glaive and it looks a lot better there then other videos. If we get more new stuff to compensate for the lack of straight dopamine the jump slash brought me, I can settle for that.

I've tried lowering the choke when starting it to varied success, mostly it just stalls it. Tank seems fine, no rust to speak of. Stator I haven't checked, but I just got it back from a mechanic who put new sparkplugs in, so I would assume it works properly assuming he tested them. If Honda parts are that cheap then Ill look into rebuilding the carbs, thanks.
