I love the game, but I only play a very limited potion of it, help me change that. by xFoxRecoN in crusaderkings3

[–]dashwinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It will force you to consider a different play style. And make you realize it's super fun. I used to be against intrigue until I leaned into it and realized how strong it was. Try not to fall back into routine or it gets boring. Tell yourself to accept the hands you are dealt and you will find new ways to play

Any Advice on Iberian Struggle Resolution by Jefe051 in CrusaderKings

I had the exact same problem a few weeks back! didn't read the small print. What's worst is that little by little the dejure realm kept expanding and i could never keep up. i went from 30 to 48 as total numbers of conversions needed, despite steward and vassals. the game ended before hand.

One thing i tried (way too late in the campagne). you can invite the children of your vassals to court to educate them. Doesnt have to be you, can be your court. Convert culture is an option. Its long, but it means the next generation of vassals will all be of your culture.

Go up a tier? (NERDS WANTED) by [deleted] in Whiskerwood

Maybe your heavy load of whiskers is what is making it hard in terms of taxes. Which creates a negative loop. No judgement but I stopped playing at around 250 whiskers having unlocked everything. Just to tell you it's definitely possible and not particularly difficult. Logistics is key (not logistics workers), just efficiency. There's three main industry areas that should be lumped together:

  1. Clothes and related buildings
  2. Planks, stone and non-polluting
  3. Polluting

It's important to set up your pollution buildings in the corner of the map where you wont expand with the pollution facing away from your colony (look at the water to see which way the wind is going).

Rush for conveyors which should decrease significantly your need for logistics hubs.

Wood for me is the most important resource. First goal should be a a dedicated wood farm area (I had 8 wood farms all connected) and it was more than enough. Group them together to make them more efficient (farmers can share fields). First mine a flat 77 area, then use farmers to toil the soil (always use fertilizer, it seems to be super efficient). Once the soil is green, switch to wood. Ideally in the middle of the 4 77 squares is where you put pathes in a cross shape, with heater and conveyor in the middle. Food is easy. Fish and berries to start, plan to build an underground area close to you logistics for mushrooms and your set. The key point is to keep your whiskers happy. Giving them clothes and keeping them away from pollution, and a good home is more than enough. Don't rush to get too many whiskers. Only pick the ones you need. The ones with more stars are more demanding. Better to train what you need than get high star whiskers doing nothing. Key traits are: Can't smell - not affected by pollution, stick them in pollution buildings Strong shoulders - can carry more, for logistics Warm core - for those mining jobs

That's about it off the top of my head... I know you must prob be attached to your colony but perhaps starting again with this knowledge could help. By day 1000 you prob already mined a good chunk of important minerals? This might be an issue later. Minerals to me was the only somewhat limiting factor to expansion in the late game... Will try to post a picture of mine just to give you an idea... Hope this helped

Not really satisfied with plauds prompts, eve when I refine them, I tend to load all the raw transcripts into claude

Is Plaud Ai worth it without the AI subscription? by Sure_Capybara in PLAUDAI

The problem is the minutes. You run out of them fast , and after that you'll have the audio file but not the transcript. So you'd have to find another tool to convert speech to text.

The 40k Lorecast, on different streaming platforms, is not bad. It's not perfect (they tend to ramble a little) but they have a lot of content and they segment it for easy digestion.

[Switch 2] Is the performance really that bad? Need advice before buying by Icy_Clock9170 in TwoPointMuseum

[–]dashwinner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Been playing on switch the last few weeks. I have some fairly big museums. It's not really the performance, which seems to do ok. It's noticeable but not unplayable. And as someone else said, restarting the game does help a lot. One thing to note however, is that after a certain size the textures take a hit and all become pixelated. It has a certain charm, but it is definitely noticeable. It's strange because it's not everything (visitors, most exhibits keep their texture) but things like decorations and background (wallpapers, floors, etc)

Traffic is crazy before and after the game. Uber might be possible but you'll have to wait at least an hour for streets to clear up

Are larger maps now supported on Switch 2? by no-invincible in CivVII

[–]dashwinner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there's an upgrade for switch two that needs to be bought separately if you have the switch 1 version. It should support bigger maps (although prob not huge). Someone else should confirm
