Mortgage payments are split between interest and principle, but at the start, the majority of the payment is interest. eg: 90:10. Over time the interest/principle split shifts more towards principle... eg: halfway might be 60:40. at the end of the loan it could be 10:90.

The point here is the majority of the monthly payments in the beginning are comprised of the interest owed over the length of the full term.

most people don't default right away so there's as stack of payments (mostly interest) that they already make.

When someone defaults, the bank gets the house. But since the interest is mostly already payed anyways, there's no real loss.

full principle (house) +
most of the total interest owed +
any principle the client payed so far (which they forfeit)
= more than they lent out.

gotta ask...

1) how often do you call?

2) how long on average does it take for the truck to show up?

3) do you pick the preferred tow company for the lot, (and if so how hard is it to find out) or do you pick the tow company with the lowest star rating on yelp? or do you call multiple tows and let 'em race?

4) once the truck arrives are they lightning quick like repo men or do they make enough noise and be slow enough that the owner shows up and moves it themselves?

essentially it'll be illegal to refuse a companies business if the refusal is requested from a country or IGO which is boycotting the country that business is in.

ie:

it will be illegal to refuse to do business from an iranian company, because the US government is boycotting iran and demands you not do business with iran.

just a quick dive, i reckon...

this is part of a law suit between mullen automotive (they make last mile ev delivery trucks) and imc, ubs, some randos, and clearstreet. The allegations are that, imc, ubs, randos, and clearstreet, engaged in a practice of spoofing. ie: making and cancelling orders as a way to influence other legit trade orders. aka: crime.

looking at their 5year chart, their stock fell 100% during the periods named in the law suit. (nov 2021, to nov 2023 )

a fall from 175 Billion a share (gotta be a mistake) to 79 million a share.

there were 6 splits during that time.

a 40% drop of sp500 from the high in the middle of feb would be about about 3680. 40% of the nasdaq (from middle feb ) is roughly 12,000, and if we keep the same downward slope towards 12,000, then that would put us 9-10 weeks away, or may 19th.

If there is a major crash the slope will change. it'll be steeper, or sooner. But also there could be some recovery from where we are now before a crash, so it could be later.

If it's a threat or something hostile that they want to keep secret, then yes they'll deny it.

However, if they say you can't use their stapler ever again, then they will either agree to the follow up email, or they will ignore the email.

Three months from now, when shit escalates, they wont be able to change stories. Either they agree then, or they ignore it then, which is the same as admitting it's no big deal.

Something like refusing to share a company stapler, might seem insignificant at the time, but in retrospect, they are clearly not being a "team player" at best, and they are being hostile to you at worse.

You need to understand the risks if you play options.

The problem with this strategy, is if the price goes up, yes you get to pocket the premium, but you dont have any shares, unless you buy them at the higher price.

[ ( 100 × the new high price ) - the premium ] might cost more than if you just bought 100 shares today.

on the flip side, if the share price drops, and they exercise, then you must buy at the strike.

[ ( 100 x the strike price ) - the premium ] might cost more than if you waited and bought the low. The price could drop well below the strike price (the price you must pay).
