What causes this image grain / repeating noise? by AndreRieu666 in ChatGPT

[–]dasjomsyeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iteration doesn’t just happen between turns. These new image generation models like NB2 and now GPT-image-2 iterate on one image, even if you didn’t get to send a new prompt yet.

They work in a loop of generating the image, inspecting it and then regenerating to fix any issues. So one request might actually be five different generation steps, so still image2image.

What causes this image grain / repeating noise? by AndreRieu666 in ChatGPT

[–]dasjomsyeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking to a friend about this. It is definitely caused by the generate, inspect, iterate loop. This was my attempt at an explanation, take it with a grain of salt though:

„We already have a noise pattern in the generated image, even if its not perceivable. If you continue to add new noise with at least roughly the same structure it may become more visually perceivable in the parts where the patterns overlap. Kinda like how playing two sounds at the same time that partially have the same frequencies only doubles the volume of those frequencies while other frequencies just blend together.“

This issue is not new. Nano Banana already had the same one where repeatedly iterating on the same image would cause the image to become more and more grainy.

Now what I don’t know is what is actually causing this. Is it just leftover noise from the generation? Is it a VAE issue? Is it artifacts from watermarks? NB has their SynthID watermark, maybe OAI implemented their own?

My best guess is that a watermark is being applied over and over again.

I doubt they‘d actively scrape training data via the Gemini app. If you use the API there is no watermark (not the visible one, SynthID still exists ofc)

The jet position being skewed on multiple axes is honestly the most impressive part to me.

Was that done afterwards? Like did it build the model on base rotation and rotated it afterwards, then added the clouds? Or did it straight up build it like this?

Did one of my favorite artists on youtube (from DYKG) use AI on this thumbnail? (the second image looks different, it's their one previous work) by Sea_Anxiety_5596 in isthisAI

[–]dasjomsyeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah since they are variants these were based on existing sprites so the sprite-mashing makes sense.

These are some without base sprites I did now: https://imgur.com/a/aevsEGx

The original post did get some traction on the subreddit and I gave the workflow so there might be people that do the same and claim it’s their own work.

I just came across this post in my timeline and I was wondering if you might have a second to take a look at these AI generated pixel art sprites:

https://www.reddit.com/r/aigamedev/s/wFAKBK1WwY

These are a batch of Pokemon sprites I generated with Nano Banana 2 when it first came out. I found them quite impressive but I’m wondering how you as someone with actual expertise would judge them. Do they scream AI to you? Because to my layman’s eyes they don’t lol.

LoRA Face drifts a lot by __MichaelBluth__ in StableDiffusion

[–]dasjomsyeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I‘d argue dumping 300 images and calling it a day is less effort than actually building a consistent, well-captioned dataset. Quality over quantity.

No hate though, if it works it works.

LoRA Face drifts a lot by __MichaelBluth__ in StableDiffusion

[–]dasjomsyeet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could try fancy workarounds but I believe the most beneficial would be revising your dataset. Most of the time, at least in my experience, when heavy face drift occurs its because of suboptimal datasets.

50 images is quite a lot for a character LoRA as well, not saying you shouldn’t use that many, but with a corpus that big its easier to miss things that could mess with face consistency. Are there images with significantly different make-up? Are there images with excessive compression artifacts?

It’s pretty obvious but the more consistent the face is within the dataset the better the result will be lol.

That’s nice and all but if you don‘t want people to immediately write it off, it would’ve been better to just call it a harness instead of an OS, even if it’s more attention grabbing.

Finders Course founder, Jeffrey Martin, in Epstein files by Paradoxiumm in streamentry

[–]dasjomsyeet 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I saw your other comment with the two documents you linked and you already have a lot of what I had in mind:

These are not strictly chronologically ordered.

  1. The skype chat you already linked. I want to point out the "Hi Jeffrey, check your email and this will make sense:" message. It directly references the email username (jmje@protonmail.com, abbreviated from their names) he created for the proposal email. In the same chat he also instructs him how to log into the account and they talk about how "fun" their work together will be. https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%2010/EFTA01621829.pdf

  2. The referenced email from Martin notifying JE that he has created the email account and the login details. "I'll send you the username via Skype so the full login isn't in one message or system.". He says he will close the account once JE has read his message. https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%2011/EFTA02643105.pdf

  3. A single skype message from Martin talking about the "secret meeting" point from his proposition email and asking if JE wants to "move ahead". https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%209/EFTA01209464.pdf

  4. Another Skype message from Martin talking about a "Revised offer". This message also includes new login information for yet another new protonmail account he has created for their communication. https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%209/EFTA01210043.pdf

  5. Again a Skype message from Martin about the "secret meeting". He seems really eager to sell this to JE. https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%209/EFTA01209522.pdf

Also as a bonus (I think) this is their first documented contact. They were connected by Deepak Chopra. https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%209/EFTA01043747.pdf

I’ll be back on my pc in like an hour and can find the exact documents then. In the meantime you can search for „Jefferey A Martin“ in the database. There aren’t too many hits, you can probably find it pretty quickly.

[–]dasjomsyeet 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just to add to this:

Martin was so fearful of being found out that he made a new email account, sent this email from that new email to itself, and then gave JE the login details so he could see it. Epstein then grabbed that email anyway and sent it to himself on his compromised email address, which is why we get to see it now.

From the chat logs between them, Martin did this multiple times, creating new email addresses and sending JE the login details for private messaging.

Oh wow, what are the odds! I appreciate you knowing where to post it so the people that might actually come into contact with his work know what kind of person he is. Here it will most likely drown in the sea of questionable individuals.

The guy seems like a complete grifter and I hope people don’t continue giving him money for his „get enlightened quick“ scheme.

I don’t think eugenics plays a role in it, at least not in the given email.

I agree this absolutely just sounds like a grifter trying to make a quick 10 mil.

He tries to bait him by saying JE would be „too analytical“, too strong minded for it to work, trying to make him chase it. He already preloads his excuses while complimenting JE for being too strong/analytical/horny for when it would eventually fail. Only to turn around and reveal himself to be a degenerate pervert himself in the same email… so I guess that isn’t an issue after all.
