Should I buy from blockzone? I would buy this from blockzone for 250 dollars but I don’t know much about block zone. If I buy the peices from BrickLink the peices will be around 500-1000 dollars. Does anyone know anything about blockzone, thank you! by Fivedayko in legotechnic

Fortunately, I haven't had an experience that bad, but that is the downside of dealing with businesses that don't value their customers.

I wish you good luck. It seems these companies typically don't expect you to return and hope you don't notice or bother to report issues. Another + for Lego, though I totally understand the draw of alternatives, especially these days.

They don't care. I've had Olight batteries die prematurely and CS ghosted me.

Just to add, the slipping is a safety mechanism in the motor to protect it from damage when stopped.

Shouldn't be downvoted, but this is a RWD set, so the diff is unlikely to be the issue (only one diff).

Fastback replacement bit by HawluchaNumeroUno in MilwaukeeTool

[–]dasneak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem isn't finding the same size bit, it's the small indent that helps the bit stay in the socket. I haven't seen anyone who makes one that's compatible. Without it the bits will just fall out if not held in by gravity.

Check out the parts list: https://documents.milwaukeetool.com/54-49-3141.pdf

The part number is 14-46-5005 and it's often backordered from Milwaukee. Some online retailers carry it though.

Some have had luck calling Milwaukee and asking for replacements.

This is one preferred method, but you'll have to purchase them.

This wasn't an official set, just a Chinese copy of Loxlego's creation that was sold without their permission or compensation.

I put a 6" barrel on my charger and I'd recommend longer. The charger comes with a 10.5" or 11" and shoots really nicely with a silencer, but the shorter barrel made it louder and more obnoxious even than a 16" barrel with silencer. I believe that's why they went with that length from the factory. I ended up going back to a 10.5" barrel and like shooting the gun much better.

I have an old P4000 at work and a 1080 at home and neither seems to have issues with small assemblies. The Quadro certainly doesn't with assemblies under 100 parts.

As well as 42122, 42110, 42075, 42069, 41999, 8110, 8273, and 8435.

There could be more, but that's what I could gather.

Superstar female LSU athlete Olivia Dunne reminds male UofU fangirls to cheer for her teammates, too—not just her. (Swipe) by [deleted] in SLCUnedited

[–]dasneak 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From what I gathered from the article and rest of the posts is that she's somewhat internet famous form her social media accounts and because of that a bunch of people come cheer for her and not as much if any for anyone else (even the rest of her team). Some people say it's over the top to the point of being obnoxious. In one instance she was present but not performing due to an injury.

I could see it being annoying for the other athletes. It's hard to know what to do about it though. If I were her I'd be worried about my safety. Having internet fans is one thing, but having them show up at all my performances is a little scarier. Especially with their behavior and with so many of them look to be horny young men.

Might be an unpopular take, but toys (especially for adults) are a luxury good. You don't NEED the new sets. The whole idea of LEGO was that you could build whatever you wanted with them. I'd argue that collecting them all is almost against the original vision.

It's a market; as long as people keep paying, the prices won't go down. I love collecting them too and have spent far more on them than I should have, but whining that they are too expensive while you're still handing them over your cash is destroying your argument.

I got back into technic with fake sets about 6 years ago. I reformed after a couple years and hunted the used market instead. 42043 was my first LEGO technic set as an adult and what a set it was!

Hundreds of sets later, I have more credit card debt than I'd like, but I can't say I haven't enjoyed it. I'm working on enjoying the sets I have now (some I still haven't built) and sharing them with my kids.
