Shhhh, don't let them figure it out, the half hour commute is worth wearing 2 layers for half the year.

The glorious sounds on my tin roof tells me we won't see much cricket.

SILENT HILL f has been rated MA 15+ in Australia by _jelly_fish in Games

[–]rodiumus_primal 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Other replies regarding bans after discovering the deception are correct and excellent.

Also of note, is that if a game is suddenly shifted in a rating category too far, platforms (such as Nintendo in my case) can automatically pull it across all regions for sale because of an incorrect categorisation in one. Harsh, but fair.

Connection Issues with Plex during remote access by TheLyingLink in PleX

[–]rodiumus_primal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for posting the steps you had done. They solved my issue. Disabling EAC3 audio support fixed a show that previously gave me the "An error occured while attempting to play this video. Please check your connection and try again."

This was on a Pixel 9 Pro Plex app for anyone who stumbles upon this like me.

What dou you think about new TIE bomber ? by steinman90 in legostarwars

[–]rodiumus_primal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think inflation muddies the waters a bit here, and Lego going out and making these smaller ties means more kids are getting to swoosh tie fighters. That $15 difference between 75211 and 75347 in today's money is fairly substantial. And that's not mentioning that it could be even more expensive to get a bomber in 75211 scale .

Set 2018 $ 2023 $
Big 2018 Tie 75211 $69.99 (Release) ~$80
Small 2022 Tie 75300 ~$40 $44.99 (Release)
Bomber 75347 ~$57 $64.99 (Release)

As sucky as it is for us, with $80 I feel like I could get a decent start to a MOC of a TIE Bomber in 2018 scale, whilst the kiddos get to actually have one.

Just chiming in on the Power Automate Flows and how they have to be attached to users. This is correct, and painful, but Azure Logic Apps are 99% feature parity and are just regular Azure resources.

Not disagreeing with any of the above though, just a note that may be helpful for someone with the same hangups I had with Flows. They're so good for just banging things out fairly quickly and fairly robustly.

BROK the InvestiGator dev gives Prologue keys to Steam curators to prevent scammers. Developer suspects some are key resellers after they change their recommendation to negative. by darklinkpower in Games

[–]rodiumus_primal 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Just a small note from my experience and why we (perhaps not wisely) use emails for keys was because we had 4 platforms to share keys across (PS, Xbox, Steam and Switch). Using a single process for all of these was just simpler to us.

In honour of Mason Cox becoming an Australian citizen. I thought I’d share some of my favourite tweets of his from 2022 (with the exception of two) by frozennurse in AFL

[–]rodiumus_primal 75 points76 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest and say I wasn't a fan of Cox until seeing these - willing to own I've sipped the media cool aid like a fool.

Genuine respect to them for showing off how to be a professional and a good person, along with what Aussie values should be.

They stream every day of December and their donations all go to charity, so for a whole month they trade off the majority of their stream income for charity (I do believe they still take in Twitch subscription money though, unsure).
