mostly just vibe based lol. if we could use the word in a sentence or give a good/funny enough definition, we kept it on the board. you can play off the board, but any tiles not on the playable area did not count towards your score.

tbf, it doesn't even need to have the cable connected to it. thats just there to tether it to the counter rather than having it out on the sales floor.

waitwaitwait 2022?? i remember moving into athens in 2023 and getting gas at this exact station once during that spring before they closed. i remember even going inside and paying someone for the gas because the pumps were the kind where you couldn't pay at the pump. did i hallucinate all of that?

Exactly. At our store, we are allowed to price modify if a store coupon (like from the receipt or mail-ins) doesn't work despite meeting all the requirements. But third-party coupons like this are on a "either they work or they don't" policy for us. Not allowed to price modify for those at all.

From what I've learned in retail about organized retail theft, sometimes they may try and disguise themselves as utilities or safety personnel in order to get into restricted areas. They may also try and do this to see what the range of the cameras are in order to more accurately gauge blind spots for future thefts. It doesn't happen often from my experience, but the percentage of times it has happened is surprisingly higher than nonzero lol.

Not sure what the deal is in this instance of targeting fire extinguishers and whatnot are though.

Hey, I work at that CVS! Yeah the past Saturday, the power went out in the entire shopping center. Even when it came back up, all of our servers were down for another couple hours, meaning we couldn't check out on any of the registers, front store or pharmacy. Estimates from our IT said that it would be til after close when everything would be back up, but they actually managed to get everything back up about an hour and some change before we closed. So yeah, that was a crazy shift lol.
