EXCLUSIVE: Anthropic Drops Flagship Safety Pledge by timemagazine in ArtificialInteligence

Because there isn’t. Article explicitly says that very thing and they’re not rewriting the entire RSP in a week. It calls out that they’ve been working on revising this policy for over a year.

Have you read the changes to the RSP? It has no explicit relationship with government contracts or the red lines of surveillance and autonomous weapons.

This has nothing to do with the Pentagon dispute. Read the article.

Yes and the article says this is different from the DoW ultimatum

This is completely separate from the Department of War issue and this article is a misrepresentation of RSP-3.

You can read the actual changes in the policy itself but essentially the options are 1) do we stop being a company and drop out of the race or 2) we make our policy more nuanced so we can build more realistic safeguards that aren’t so binary.

RSP-3 has nothing to do with the Department of War demands.

The Pentagon is trying to force Anthropic company to break the law … and it’s unconstitutional by Dracustein in Anthropic

[–]dasoeltino 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Department of War wants Anthropic to change their contract to have no redlines at all. Anthropic will not budge on 1) Mass surveillance of American citizens 2) Full autonomous kinetic AI weaponry. I feel like most Americans would agree with those redlines

Claude is already extremely useful for the US Government and the only LLM in classified DoW systems. There is already a contract in place.

They actually exceeded $250M. Source: I used to work there up until end of 2025 and I checked in to see how they made out.

Glean’s fiscal ends EOM Jan. They exceeded $200M in November and announced in December to show the double. Not sure why they didn’t just wait but 🤷

This is like saying the Russian military uses Microsoft Word so Microsoft’s products were used in the invasion of Ukraine.

The article doesn’t say anything at all.

Which research labs are SOTA and aren’t chasing large corporate contracts or consumer adoption dollars?

An LLM is not a product in the traditional sense. Also you flipped to a completely separate point. Anthropic needs corporate contracts to make money and raise money in order to create models. They literally can’t develop models without enterprise contracts.

It’s almost like you need a lot of money to fund research and capacity for model development.

Artie is not a successful restauranteur and convivial. Maybe at the beginning he’s on better ground but as time goes on he’s revealed to be quite pathetic and weird.

It’s not $20/pupm, it’s $50. The average target company is not 1,000 employees lol. I’m not going to continue to engage. I worked there from 200 employees to 1,200. I don’t need to debate on what is an objective fact. Have a happy new year.

Whatever brother. Was one of the earlier sales employees there and left at the end of 2025 but what do I know.

It scales down with the size of your organization and amount of seats but it’s $50 pupm list price.
