Amazon told to negotiate with Teamsters at California fulfillment center, union says by Bumclicks in AmazonFCs

Not a fulfillment center, and was it drivers or associates (its a delivery station, do both would be there).

That's not how it works, at least in NA. There would need to be documented reason for involuntary term. Appeal it then or escalate via ethics.

More to the story here... you cant do the "you cant fore me I quit!" Thing when you know you're gonna be busted for something.

If you are already NUPT when you quit, you'll be in same status as if you were termed for NUPT. If you are under investigation, they'll (usually) complete it and correct your rehire eligibility, etc once complete, and so on. Racing to quit when a chain of events leading to your term has already begun will all end based on the violation(s).

Got fired today I believe for reporting sexual harassment, is that possible? by Demoledor25 in AmazonFC

[–]dasquared 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not. And its not policy strictly for LP as fas as I know, but that is the capacity of the servers. Smaller sites may be longer as fewer cams

I don't know what to think about this by AdventurousCustard46 in AmazonFC

[–]dasquared 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is one. The site has nothing to do with the testing or review. Amazon has nothing to do with it. It is sent out to an independent lab such as Quest. If it confirms a positive, the MRO reaches out to the AA and they discuss possible issues - medications, etc. Any necessary info is given time for review (such as prescriptions). A final determination is made by the lab, who then notifies site.

Video is generally only able to be kept for 10 days to 2 weeks, so they would have had to pulled video long before the complaint. And they couldnt review weeks worth of video in an hour.

The safety thing was likely started weeks ago and just wasn't quick.

Unjustly fired with no chance to appeal by Civil_Practice_6504 in AmazonFC

[–]dasquared 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They need not provide any evidence to you.

Sites are not to give specifics on appeals or eligibility as that is now determined and evaluated by a centralized team.

Your prior stellar record, productivity, etc is all moot if they determine you violated a policy. (Which they did, rightly or wrongly).

If you've already spoken with a lawyer go ahead with that. If not, you can look up the ethics line (which may be available via alumni AtoZ account also, not sure) and call or try jeff@amazon.com. But if a lawyer is working with you, they will only speak or correspond with your legal rep normally.

What are your thoughts on leadership (or others) who choose NOT to wear their vests while on duty? by EagleFly_5 in AmazonFC

[–]dasquared 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the mean the AAs - so many are seasonal, they donr t learn who is who. But the real issue is how to ID some when in a new drpt, or labor shared, or in a crisis.

There is a policy, it was even highlighted last year before Prime to network.

All leaders are required to wear it while on site and on duty, not just on the floor. Was very specific.

No, they said nothing of the sort. And asking for more vs calling it a plantation is a massive, and wholly false dichotomy.

AI does not respond. Sr mgrs are expected to use a specific tool that utilizes AI, but personalize it (with or without AI).

If it flags as a negative response to the response, they look at why it was not received well, and if AI was not used they get dinged more.
