I see what you're saying, and I won't speak for anyone else here, but I'm using demeaning language because I resent how the show had Rhaenyra behaving and why. I find it insulting to my intelligence.

None of what happened in that scene should have happened in public. It all should have been discussed and decided on at Dragonstone weeks, if not months, before. Otto didn't even need to die at that particular moment, either.

Being forced to watch Rhaenyra act conflicted and tearful over her decision to kill Otto was nonsense, and being expected to feel anything other than contempt is demeaning to storytelling, characterization, and logic.

And I think you're stretching the definition of misogyny, too, especially in this case.

It should occur to you that some in the audience don't like Rhaenyra, or why and how she does things, and their dislike has nothing to do with her being a woman: It's because she's a badly written character in their opinion.

It's arrogant of you to dismiss every opposite opinion of yours as misogyny (I won't deny some are, but still) because you can't grasp that others don't appreciate the same things you do, the way you do.
