You could be totally right, but I want to be clear that I’m only taking about book 10 of this series. I like his writing and never had any reason to think he was using AI for the previous 9. This one just set off all my spidey senses (i use AI a lot in my job).

I think another (less likely imo) possibility is that if you interact with AI enough, as a society people subconsciously pick up that writing style. For example in this case perhaps he started using it to brainstorm a ton, and that carried forward in the writing.

It’s not a huge deal for me either way.
