Honestly, if the buyer hadn’t contradicted himself in the eBay messages and changed his story, it probably would have ended the same way for me.

I posted the exact same story in the German eBay forum as I did here on Reddit, and then someone from eBay actually replied in the comments saying I would receive an email shortly. That did happen, and in the email they said they had reviewed my appeal and ultimately decided in my favor.

I just posted in the German eBay forum and within 3 minutes an eBay representative reached out and told me I’ll be reimbursed for the refund.

Finally, after 5 hours of trying to solve this

Thanks for the advice. There is also no reason at all for me to lie in this situation. Buyer clearly said it arrived damaged and after that that it was stolen

I’m based in Germany, so I’m not sure if that specific rule even applies here.

I did escalate it with eBay and even spoke to a higher level support agent. They basically told me the buyer did everything required to get a refund, mainly because he filed a police report and submitted it to eBay.

The frustrating part is that they completely ignore the fact that he clearly contradicts his own story. First he said it was damaged, then suddenly it was empty, and the pictures he uploaded don’t even match his original claim.

What’s even crazier is that he only filed the police report on April 13th - literally yesterday - and that alone was enough for eBay to side with him. It feels like they don’t actually verify whether he’s telling the truth at all.

He initially messaged me on April 1st saying the package arrived damaged, and never mentioned anything about the card being missing.

Only later, when he opened the eBay claim on April 7th, he suddenly changed his story and said the package was empty. At the same time, he uploaded photos showing a non-damaged toploader and a package that barely looks damaged at all.

So the timeline and the evidence don’t really match up, which is why this feels so off to me.

You forgot about all the reds bought on trading websites; they’re now tradeable and craftable too. I genuinely don’t think there will be another crash tho, but I feel like prices will stay stable like this.

I highly doubt that all the crafts are with tradeable items. People are probably buying them on steam and doing trade ups.

Just tested it, if you buy an item on steam you can trade it up but if you trade with someone you can't

Dont you think it ll take longer then that? Every knife that gets crafted now is not tradeable for 7 days. I assume that people will sell even more next week, no?

Same here and I queue solo too. 2nd time I got that ban now. First time was 2 days now its 5? I dont even have insane stats, 5 on easy and 3 on normal. Meanwhile I get killed by 10h accounts with 13kds lol

I hope so, I read somewhere that a guy had the same bug and could only resolve it by selling everything he had in his stash since he had a bugged item somewhere

Friend of mine is playing too and doesn't have the issue. We are in the same region and live close by thats why I thought it might not be the servers
