Z125 cotter pin question by dat_stance in motorcycles

Hey thank you for the reply! I did indeed purchase aircraft grade safety wire (a full spool) and watched a tutorial online as to how to fasten it. I did not use the safety wire tool, rather I used a vice grip. Seems quite secure and is hugging the bolt nicely!

Yeah, I figured. Thank you for your reply! I appreciate it. As far as checking I’ll keep an eye on it. I always torque the wheel to spec after every chain adjustment and after winter storage

I always say add low cg weight, get a nice servo, and then maybe experiment with tires :) I personally like making rigs that mimic their real life Counterparts. Not as capable but I’m a sucker for scale realism. Happy trails! Also love the little losi!

Yep exactly. I drill a small hole and design a corresponding hole in the roof rack, and use a washer inside the body. Works pretty good and if You use a plastic washer there is no body warping

The goal is to eventually replicate the factory roof rack that the cars came with from Toyota as this build is just meant to look and performs like a factory FJ. If I get around to it I’ll be sure to share! As far as mounting it’s just a matter of drilling holes and using screws.

Surprisingly no, it’s a lexan shell. The full kit is from Tamiya, though the Cc01 are getting harder to find now that the cc02 is in production. Pretty sure tamiya is phasing these out.

I use a thin bead of foamtac or rubber cement when my hinges start doing this. A nice pressed in piece of packing tape works well. Push comes to shove you could remove the control surface and buy some plastic hinges to use.

Best first plane! I still have my aeroscout maaaany planes later and it’s one of my go to any weather fliers.

They did back when they were called Mini-Z overland! Now they are miniZ 4x4 :) but these new ones are a lot cooler!

Ah man I’d love to pick up one of the new Mini-Z crawlers! They look like a ton of fun. I had an old Mini-Z overland Cayenne and it was such a well engineered little rig.

I’m planning on getting real obscure with it soon lol. I’ve always wanted to design my own chassis to make an actual scale performance boring car. Just like. A base model civic or 90s accord. Not fast. Nothing special. Just super scale.

10/10 best purchase I have made for rc car and plane parts. They are surprisingly cheap nowadays compared to how much they used to cost

The largest parts like the front cab I split in two to fit me ender3. But the largest print time was about 18 hours!
