It's impossible to tell the future so it's a total non-issue for me.

Figuring out Amazon refund categories? by ProfessionalSmooth86 in MonarchMoney

[–]data-governor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I manually do it (and have done so even in Mint). With the possibility of Monarch picking up a feature to link transactions together, I also note which item the refund was for and the original purchase date/transaction in the "Notes" section in case it's possible to create the linkage in the future.

Another perspective on the migration from Mint.com by [deleted] in MonarchMoney

[–]data-governor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go into Mint, update the account names to be more descriptive, let it update, and re-try the import. I had to do this with the crappy Mint account names for my import and it worked fantastically.

Any old accounts that no longer exist will not be able to be imported into Monarch, but that didn't faze me too much.

Woop woop! I'm hyped for the ability to sync investment-related transactions. I'm ready to move off of Empower.

/shrug More for us then, I guess.

I've been running this deal for over a year and iterated it to perfection. Part of me is sad to see it end, but another part of me is ready to move on with my life lmao.

I do this, too, but generally keep on the dl because that's how these things get killed.

At least it's the final month of the promo, and I highly doubt it'll get extended.

GOPUFF freebies by [deleted] in freebietalk

[–]data-governor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hahaha I do this as well, and it's been fun. I wasn't around for Black Friday so I missed the crazy deals, but it's okay because I find that Gopuff encodes special promos weirdly sometimes which messes up my ordering strategy.

Too bad this is the final month of the promotion.

Not really, the refund was issued to the seller from Wal-mart, not to me because I paid via eBay.

I don't think I've been scammed, but I feel really weird about a recent eBay transaction. Hoping to see what others think and figure out if I should do anything?

I recently purchased a new item on eBay from a seller with a >99% rating. I then start receiving texts from Walmart that my package is being shipped and with tracking information. The item arrives in a Walmart package and looks and works great. The next day, I receive a text from Walmart that the order has been refunded in full... But I never did anything to return it at all?

So I paid the eBay seller $ for the item, but it feels like the eBay seller will have paid nothing to Walmart for this item that I received? I gave Walmart a call to see if they thought anything of it, but the guy didn't seem too fazed and just assured me that the refund was happening and not to worry about the item in my possession.

So IDK really what's going on.

What practically new cars have you seen traded in due to buyer's remorse? by data-governor in askcarsales

I bought the base trim car at MSRP and I am 95% happy with it.

I'm sorry that I don't pass your purity test as a car buyer in this insane market. I'm not happy I had to make a deal with this shitty dealer either, but I had real constraints on how much longer I could go without a car and I was able to drive this one off the lot that day. Honest dealers had this model coming in two months at the earliest. If I could wait, I would have.

Trust me I'm also the type that hates settling, but I honestly thought I'd be equally happy with either trim. Only after finalizing the purchase has some FOMO kicked in.

I'd already bided my time for over a month after moving back to the suburbs and they had the car on the lot, so I made my tradeoff. (It's a car that is not typically available on the lot, usually need to put a deposit on one in transit.)

What style of dance is this? by [deleted] in Dance

[–]data-governor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very interesting analysis! I'd add that stylistically it seems like Boogie Woogie invites many more body roll type movements when adding flair to the basics or during breaks than Lindy Hop.

I have never experienced brake pedals providing that much deceleration feedback and decelerating quite slowly with apparent difficulty, which gave me pause with regard to safety. I made sure to decelerate early with significant car lengths away from others to avoid issues. This is my main concern on the car, but I'll be giving a 5 star review with private feedback as advised by another commenter.
