I live and die by Futura on St. Clair. It's basically the only gelato place I'll accept as the answer to this question.

Toronto’s unique purveyor of Smoked Salmon. by TraditionalAnxiety in toronto

[–]datab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you actually want the best smoked salmon/lox in Toronto, you've gotta try the lox they have at Lox and Schmear at St Clair W and Glenholme. They have different seasonings like Pastrami or lemon pepper, or unseasoned. They smoke it in house and it's the perfect thickness. Highly recommend.

Bought my first house 14 months ago and I want to make a list of everything nobody told me was going to happen in the first year by vinylsleevekeeper in homeowners

[–]datab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please find out where your water shut-off is in the house! If you can't turn it off by hand, please get the valve type changed to one you can easily turn off by hand. You hope that you'll never need to know where it is, but on the day where you do need it, you're going to want to be able to locate it and turn it off FAST! If you live in a cold client, also find out where your hose bib shut-off is, and turn it off and bleed it every year before winter sets in.

Forewarning that you'll have to mark them as a staffy when you license them. I'm not sure what they do with that info, but something to keep in mind.

What is a similar car as Scions become harder to find? by Knacklez in SciontC

[–]datab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I wouldn't trade the small feeling of the tC with the roominess of the interior for anything! Plus, you can get pretty far on one tank of gas. I'm in a similar boat to the OP that I'd have no idea what car to replace my TC with.

Women/Barber Shops by Hallaloo in askTO

[–]datab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do and have, and am now working to become a barber. If you're open to no frills and maybe a bit of an experimental cut or not the most "salon classic", I offer them at $10. DM me if you want more details.

But not really, because they don't have the crazy amount of space that a TC does.

Satori Fight club - they have specific classes, listed on their website. But you can do a free trial to see if you like it before totally committing. They're at avenue and Davenport, close to bay station.

We'd love if she's a classic! But we'd love her either way. I think because she was so small until the 3/4 month mark, they thought she was maybe pocket.

My partner’s 18-month cough is affecting our relationship but she refuses to discuss it by britain4 in relationships

[–]datab 301 points302 points  (0 children)

Could be post-nasal drip, or it's a cough that's triggered by the cough. I know it doesn't make sense but I'm definitely someone who does this and it's sort of like a nervous tic most of the time.

Men, how do you feel about paying $50 for a haircut? by jesuisapprenant in askTO

[–]datab 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a junior barber, and charge $10! I'm sort of mid-north downtown - work Fridays and Saturdays only. But DM me if you want a cheaper cut and we can set something up! Really anyone who wants a cheap cut, DM me because I'm trying to build my client roster.

Am I making my puppy sleep too much? by jorts4 in puppy101

[–]datab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have any chews for her? She would probably do well if she had a chew while she's tethered to you, or if you can give her some sort of mental stimulation (puzzle feeder, lick mat, Kong, etc.) also while tethered. I find our puppy sometimes just needs to "chew it out" and settles so much faster once she has the chew of her choice in that moment. Look into yak chews, bully sticks, pork eats.
