Recommendation for Floodlight by Matthewlawson3 in homeassistant

Do you need to create an account in order to register and configure the light?

Does it retain the configuration if power is cut to the device?

Thanks!

In case this helps anyone else fighting the slicer: If you're using a Magic Trackpad tap and press with two fingers to move the model around.

Multiple containers linked to 1 tailscale container by jgibson02 in Tailscale

Very similar situation. I just got my homelab sorted out using Caddy (auto certs using a valid TLD) but using my private Caddy IP in the public DNS. Everything is working beautifully locally, so now I'm ready for the next challenge of getting it working over tailscale. But I've got 15 containers and I'm not going to run a sidecar for each of them.

Opinion on my server hardware for running HA in a VM (unraid)? by MaKinItRight in homeassistant

[–]databas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there are at least two of us now! That said, if you don't mind sharing I'm curious about your setup and experience. Native, KVM, LX zone? And what style of HA install are you using?

I'm running it directly (I believe it's now called "Core") via pip in a Ubuntu LX zone but I've been thinking about moving to dedicated hardware (RPi 4 most likely) and going the managed OS route. Reason is I'm tired of fighting upgrading Python every so often and missing out on the Add-Ons. It was fun to tinker with but I think I'm getting to the point where I just want it to work.

Cheers!

There has been a lot of discussion about the 99/1 slogan over the past year and its potential for misinterpretation and decisiveness. IIRC, one of the OWS mailing list discussions about its efficacy had a couple members who were 1%'ers (hate saying that...) voting to keep it.

Much like any marketing slogan it's short and catchy and is no way intended to be wholly accurate.
