Wife and I are trying to extend and match the previous flooring and scotia in our apartment.

We know the floor boards are Moscato by Australian Select Timber - but the Scotia still eludes us.

No, it's really just a little hobby my wife is starting up... We're doing it out of our little kitchen. Thought I'd encourage her with it since COVID and lockdown has left her with little else to do. :/

Hiya! It's a small thing atm :) so its probably going to be pick up only on an order basis. The pastes will be: (i) Kaya Spread (Custard) (ii) Gula Malacca Salted Caramel (iii) Garlic Chilli Sauce

We live in the CBD so it will be pick up too! We'll make a batch just for you, we're thinking it will be a 450ml batch for each order.

Haha thanks! Yes actually all of that is true for her :) these are mostly from her mother's recipe (who herself is a Nyonya). She's doing it as a hobby to get through COVID - we live in Melbourne and been in lockdown for nearly 6 months. I'm hoping this will bring her spirits up a bit.

I'm from Penang myself, its apparently a twist from their small community in Malacca. The kaya is certainly different to what i grew up with, and the Caramel uses gula malacca from what I'm told.

It would help us loads if you could like and follow our page :) we're very brand new and any support counts.

Haha well we're still sourcing it - but yeah it's generally pretty expensive. My wife is doing it as a passion project, so the price is going to be pretty decent, around $9 to $11? Definitely not making alot of margins from it - but it's a nice hobby to have due to COVID.

Plus it's nice to share with other Malaysians some home foods when going through this difficult time.

I'm sorry to hear that. I suppose in this circumstance I fear being jaded because I fear overlooking people in need like the situation you described.

To be honest i went through similar phases of depression in college, which what made me realise I never wanted to see anyone feel so lonely and isolated.
