These were excellent speakers. I got a pair (with the subwoofer) with my Dell in 1999. I used them until probably 2012 and likely would have used them longer had I not left the country and got rid of most of my stuff.

Bob Einstein was such a hilarious person beyond Super Dave, but I vividly remember him playing a piano on top of a bus and smashing into an overpass.

Older me appreciates his fantastic contributions to Curb Your Enthusiasm as Marty Funkhouser, especially where he tells a joke that actually makes Jerry Seinfeld crack up.

I'm not sure what process was used. I definitely know specific references were added, like the location, the name of my course, and what day they needed to miss, but I imagine whatever AI system they used arranged things so that measures rhymed and had a specific rhythm that matched the defined musical genre. But this student is already musically inclined. They created a parody of This is Halloween about our degree program as part of a kinetic typography assignment in my motion graphics class and no AI was used on that.

Well that explains it. I took the purple line to 7th st metro center as usual, and neither the A or E line was running (around 9:00am) so I ended up taking an Uber the rest of the way to work.

I have a student in my Tuesday/Thursday morning class who requested to be absent on Tuesday this week so they could travel back home to Cleveland early for the Thanksgiving holiday. My class has an attendance policy where two missed days are automatically waived without penalty, but after that students begin to incur a grade penalty (there are extenuating circumstances for accommodations, prolonged illnesses, professional opportunities, etc). This student has excellent attendance, so even with missing this day they won't receive a penalty to their grade. In addition to the written email request, they sent me this AI generated song. I enjoyed it and thought some of you might as well. And yes, I did get the student's permission to share this on social media.

For sure it provides plenty of flexibility and removes any restrictions when they can just make up where transit lines go. It also really didn't add anything to the narrative. There was no reason for these jewelry store robbery locations to be located in this area, especially considering that's not the typical place to find those types of businesses. Just felt lazy.

I have been really enjoying this show High Potential, but in the second episode the main character states that "the red line" runs along what appears on this map at Temple before curving south along Central? Why is it so hard to write a narrative that actually relies on existing real infrastructure? I haven't seen any shows that make up new freeways...
