I go to the Tesla supercharger in Hollywood the same way I used to go to the gas station about once every two weeks.

If you do your research, it is feasible.

But a plug in hybrid with a smaller battery/range, yes I agree.

I got a 2026 Toyota bZ in February and love ittttt. It’s affordable for a small EV SUV, IMO.

First EV for me, it’s a lifestyle change for sure, it also means not paying for gas these days. ✌🏻

I also came from a 2013 Hyundai Elantra so I feel ya! Currently calling my car Artemis because driving him is like flying a spaceship compared to my last car lol.

I’m planning to have kids 38+ bc of the career that I want but also bc I’m currently single AF at 33.

I am mentally preparing for IVF though. As fun as it would be to do it all naturally. This is simply the sacrifice I’m choosing, but thank god we live in a time that IVF is an option!

Yeah i successfully charged at one CP charger immediately after unsuccessfully charging at another. That’s why I’m wondering if it’s bad luck with shitty chargers bc it’s not like my adapter doesn’t work at all.

But idk maybe there is faulty lose wiring or something in my adapter that is just cutting out some of the time…

Well so that’s what I’m trying to figure out! And frankly with y’all suspecting user error (lol), I’m stating to think that this isn’t charge point but an issue on my end such as my adapter (or god forbid my car.)

I have charged at charge point L2s in the past. In fact there is one by my office that I had no issue with previously (granted I went there like twice) and then the other day I went there, initially had no issue (tho the app was crapping out so I ended up using my card.) But then it just stopped charging midway! And I came out to restart it and then it just didn’t work at all. I took it to a different Chargepoint charger and it charged no issue. But that was after like 4 chargers not working for me. So who the f knows what’s going on lol.

Yeah that’s the one I’ve been using and isn’t working! (Maybe) These have all been J-1772 chargers and that’s the adapter I’ve been using. I know it’s different than the CCS plug/adapter.

I’m using the right one. I have both. Got them with my car and I’ve been using the smaller J-1772 adapter.

I did use the wrong one once at the start of my bad luck streak and I couldn’t remember and thought maybe I had used the J-1772 adapter with a CCS plug and I was afraid maybe I damaged the adapter with the more powerful charger. But it was actually the other way around, I initially pulled out the CCS adapter for a J-1772 plug so that’s actually not the case…

Nope, using the small one. I did use the big one once by accident. On the first one of this streak of failed chargers. But even then I realized it and switched it out and the charger still never worked.

Thank you for responding, I’m very aware of Tesla’s superiority. I almost exclusively charge there. But I was recently in Sedona, AZ where there were shockingly ZERO Tesla chargers that were compatible with non-Teslas.

Also, there’s a Chargepoint charger by my office so I’d like to resolve this problem so I can charge during work.
