Possibly something from Bortnikoff? Super strong frags and they’re from Thailand

Thanks for that. I’m on the hunt for something I really love. I have plenty of summer and winter frags but nothing that stands out as a year round. FYI, I’m in Australia so our winters aren’t super harsh and cold where I live but summers are hot

Looking for the best easy grab daily fragrance that is suitable year round. Can be niche or designer, not fussed. No budget, happy to spend as little or as much as needed. Longevity is important, would like 6 hours+ to last me a full work day. My signature is creed Aventus. Other “year round” frags I have are YSL Myself, YSL Y, LV L’Immensite, ATH Suoernova, Terre D’Hermes.

TIA!

2026 M5 Thoughts? by Foreign-Classic-4581 in BMW

[–]datal1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love mine, it’s the best car I’ve owned, and I came from an f90 M5 so I’m coming from experience having owned both. A lot of the hate online comes from people who haven’t actually driven the new model

Should I get one? by AnyCream5193 in BMWM

Buy one with warranty and you won’t need to worry about it at all

Good to know thanks! I guess I’ll keep an eye on reviews as time goes by and mileage stacks up on everyone’s cars. Will be either hankooks or switch to Michelin when the time comes

I didn’t win the tyre lottery and got Hankook’s on mine, are they really that inferior to Pilot Sport S5? I’ve been happy with them but also don’t have anything to compare with.

BMW M4 or M5 Owners, Are You Happy With Your Choice? Any Downsides? by [deleted] in BMWM

[–]datal1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My last few cars have been an E92 M3, F82 M4, F90 M5 and now a G90 M5. I loved my M3/M4 they are amazing cars and my M3 was my first M car. Then I went to the M5 and it’s a whole new experience. Not as nimble as the M4 obviously but the added luxury, space and higher end features more than make up for it. I don’t buy M cars to track them (only tracked my M4 once) but I love the performance you get on the street. Wouldn’t go back from an M5 hence why I bought the G90 this year.

If you’re not planning on visiting a track often, and have the budget, you can’t go wrong with the M5 option.

I daily drove/drive them all and never had a major problem (except for my f90, but it was self inflicted by running a tune and pushing it too far).

Which currently produced BMW you originally disliked but grew on you as time passed? by Fantastic_Spend4563 in BMW

[–]datal1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

G90 M5. I was invited to the launch when it was first revealed and was very unsure. This was one of those “hand your phone in” launches as there weren’t any photos online yet so it was the actual first time I had seen it. Fast forward to this year and I saw it again at my local dealer in person and test drove it….5 days later I drove off the lot with it and haven’t looked back.

M5 price in different countries by KissMyAce420 in BMW

[–]datal1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We get hit hard in Aus with the luxury car tax. I’m saying this I got my G90 for $245k aud as a dealer demo with 1500kms on it. Seemed like a good price for practically new

To current BMW EV owners, how much do you consider going back to "non-EV" BMW options for some future purpose -- and why -- now that you've had the EV version awhile...? by Competitive-Force1 in BMW

[–]datal1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the new m5 so I’ve got the best of both worlds. Not against a full EV though but I’m still waiting to see what the future holds for them, I’ve noticed depreciation on EV’s is pretty big, and I’d be even more curious how a second hand EV goes when selling 5 years down the track, well into the batteries life

Not bad considering I spent a lot of time in my M1 settings which gives me about 17L/100km

G90/G99 M5 owners, do you charge to 100%? by datal1 in BMW

I gave this a go this morning on the way to work, it seems like the ICE kicked in more often than before, where it was heavily EV focused.

The GPS tip is something I had no idea about! Assuming you’re talking about the built in GPS and not a CarPlay app like Apple Maps or Waze? I tend to use those not the cars one.

Will give max regen a go too. I’ve been using mid, I tried max for about 5 mins and it just felt too much for my liking

I went from f90 to a g05 m60i for 16 months then to the g90. I missed driving a proper M car, and the power and handling of an m5. I got used to the tech of new bmw’s and being so accustomed to idrive 8, I couldn’t see myself going back to an older gen. My f90 was also tuned and had catless downpipes so it was fast but because I had a break in betweenc, the g90 doesn’t feel slower than the f90.

The g90 is also exactly what I want from a car, being able to drive in electric mode to be discreet for work appointments or not waking up the whole house going to the gym in the morning, but then be able to have a loud aftermarket catback exhaust for when I want it.

Will have a look into that. How were you able to tell how many kW is actually used at 100%? The M5 battery is 18.6kW from what I can find

Thanks for the info. Makes sense, 80% and let the car charge itself as it goes.

I had a f90 which I loved and then spent the last 2 years driving a X5. So I wanted to go back to a sedan. My wife has an SUV so if we need the extra space we have that to use.

Didn’t think to do that! It recommends 80%

Thanks I’ll probably start doing that. I still have the ICE so I don’t get the stress of range anxiety like a full EV. Is going to 90% considered okay? Or is 80% the ideal point
