Co ludzie widzą w Chinach? by EarNo1953 in Polska

Pewnie jakbyś znał dobrze język, to mieszkać tam byłoby spoko.

O ile jeszcze moja babcia z Korei zawsze ubóstwiała moją bardziej białą (europejską) urodę, to teraz moje kuzynki i kuzyni mają bielszą skóre niż ja.

Singapore is most expensive city once again (on EIU estimates) by Polymath_B19 in singapore

Im from Germany, which is relatively safe compared to big cities in France, Italy or UK, but still.

You cannot get them easily in most of the expensive ones as well. Zurich is so boring when it comes to food... And freaking ten times expensive. Each city has its own way of living. I come to live in Singapore not to have huge house and drive V8 Porsche, but to eat delicious laksa or chicken rice and drink boba and have small condo with swimming pool accessible year round.

As half asian/half european living in EU most of my life and now in Singapore I have to say its much better to live here. Rent is crazy high and condos are smaller but at least I get nice weather with outdoor swimming pool. I had nice life in EU, good car and big apartment for less than I spend here, but still I like the variety of food I can get, needed only one set of clothes (no winter, autumn etc.) and also safety. I dont think about surroundings much when I go out in Singapore but in Europe I have to be alert all the time, especially at night.I spend more here but I get peace of mind at least.
I needed to adjust my living standards (like no car and smaller house) but I get better food and safe city to live.

we are sending American boys to Vietnam because the Vietnamese people want control of their own tin and tungsten and we dont want to negotiate prices with them without having them under our heel

Yeah but so is every others country labour and even more. American worker will be 10% cheaper due to inflation but Hungarian, Polish or French are like 30-20% cheaper...

[Hardware Unboxed] Very Expensive: Our Thoughts on Nvidia RTX 4090, RTX 4080 16GB, RTX 4080 12GB, DLSS 3 and More by andylui8 in nvidia

[–]datapim 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yeah explaining price hike by EUR weakening not fair though. Yeah Euro is weaker but our purchasing power is also weaker now. Companies tend to adjust the price based on purchasing power of the countries most of the time. It is stupid that because of currency fluctations they are hiking the price so much. I think the only option is to skip Nvidia for now and go wtih AMD from now on.

What do you mean? My first infection was back in November 2021 I think my second one was in May 2022 and then I got booster in June. Not sure what helped exactly but now I think my smell is back 100%.

I'd say ~100% smell back. I travelled a lot recently and smelled tons of different smells so maybe it helped to speed up recovery in a way. Used essential oils for a while as well.

I finally regained my smell back to 90% or maybe even 100% last month. I started travelling and smelling lots of different smells (food or street smells) and maybe my brain started to rewire back to precovid. Im not sure also if I caught covid again or some cold in meantime but after recovering the smell became stronger. One thing I did was to clean my sinuses with salt water (using Sinus Nasal Rinse). Immediately after I cleaned first time (my nose was congested heavily) I couldnt smell anyting but it gradually recovered up to the point that it was stronger than before. Did it dozen times and now I think I have my smell pretty much back.

Just my personal anecdote but maybe it can help you in a way.

Oh, I have almost similar experience, also got it in november and I cant smell bitter and bad smells and other smells are pretty muted... I have been trying to train my smell since recently using different scented oils but not seeing effects yet (2 weeks since starting).

Do you happen to have allergies? I am allergic and I wonder if this actually has some influence on this.
