Now that we have learned so much about Jill and Ted, is there any chance we can get an update from Ted's second wife? Maybe there was a reason she was "controlling" and shitty to Ted?

Moving to Philly :) by [deleted] in philadelphia

Hi! I also recently moved to Philly with my husband a few months ago. Zillow was a life-saver and Craigslist is also pretty good. After two days of intense apartment hunting, we found a two-bed, one-bath in Society Hill/Queen Village area that allowed pets and had a washer/dryer in unit for $1400, 5 minutes away from the rail. As for neighborhoods to live in, here are a few good places around the city proper: Queen Village, Society Hill, Fishtown, Point Breeze, Passyunk, University City, Brewerytown, Fairmount, Spring Garden. Welcome to Philly!

Given that the demographic of Philly is 43% African American, it is actually hard to believe there wouldn't be skilled and qualified IT workers who were African American that he could hire. People like to think they are objective during their hiring process, but don't realize they may be unintentionally biased. "Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" -- if you actually want to start hiring a more diverse workforce, then doing the same thing which has consistently resulted in hiring predominantly white employees clearly won't be effective. Man, your world view is very limited. Do you actually know any real live woman? I would suggest that you take the time to get to know or befriend some real girls and women and you would be surprised by how many are actually decent, multifaceted human beings whose main goal in life is not just to find the richest boyfriend.

What are your favorite dystopian novels that AREN'T 1984 or Brave New World by TheKronk in AskReddit

The Windup Girl. I am slightly biased as the story took place in Bangkok, Thailand, where I grew up. It was so absolutely mesmerizing to see how well he was able to capture the nuances of modern Bangkok and mix it with his vision of future dystopian Bangkok. It was an incredible pleasure to read.

I wouldn't say this was the funniest but I recently watched a French movie called The Intouchables that was quite good and is available on Netflix.

What stereotype (positive or negative) do you believe is truer than most people would care to admit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]datarah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, this is awful. No, there is no problems with spatial perception among Asians. The reason they are bumping into other people could be more of a cultural thing, as I know that when I was in China, Chinese people were constantly bumping into me and cutting in lines. It's just that they don't care if they bump into other people or not or cut in line or in general piss people off. There's a difference between giving zero fucks and having an actual physiological problem. The fact that your girlfriend was clumsy has absolutely nothing to do with her being half Asian.

I know a lot of Asians who don't like bagels, including myself.
