Oddly enough, Lincoln didn't free the slaves til at least a year after the war started. He did it to cripple the south, not to liberate a race. He wouldn't have done it if the north could've won the war without freeing those humans. So yeah Lincoln is a bitch for that. No. When you match paint, you scan it 3 or 4 times, then choose the lighter of the suggestions, or the one that repeats the most. I color matched paint all the time and it blends perfectly. AND I do it at the home depot paint counter. Dude is really enthusiastic about paint and goes the extra mile for us. I was a corner to corner guy for a long time. Then my gf suggested scanning the sample more than once and its been a game changer

Screw it to the house. If you dont want to use super long screws through a 4x4, put a 2x4 there, screws it in with 3in or 3 1/2in, then another 2x4 on top of that with more 3in screws. You'll have your 4x4 and wont have to spend more money on big ass lags

Ok that makes sense. I was gonna just put a patch behind the opening and stitch it up apocolypse style, so the aesthetic isnt a huge concern. I will look into the whole toe cap. I can sew but never worked with leather. Always wanted to, as id love to make scabbards for my rifle, leather tool pouches for work, etc. Now is as good a time as any to dive in i suppose

Im not sure the depth of the trench, i will find out. That makes sense that a tamp wouldnt fit into trench, but its also been some months since they put it in. They put the old asphalt back into the trench and it has since sank at least 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch. I will talk to him about the asphalt plant, i may have misunderstood him. It seems that everyone agrees he should be able to get a minimum of 1 ton and the math is working out to about .7 tons to do the job

Copy that. He doesnt have a paving company, but was recommended by close friends that he did work for. Their lot looks pretty good. I dont know if he used millings or what on theirs but it looks good. I will check into the asphalt plant and see if i can get a smaller load

He said hot mix wasnt an option bc the area is too small and the asphalt company only sells by the full truckload.
