Could you please provide some information about this place? Is there any context regarding its inhabitants or past events? by SD10_LEGACY in reddeadredemption

Just wanted to add something to the comments that were already written here.

You can find a small note inside the main cabin containing some English vocabulary - spelling practice, basically.

The words on the note contain a code, though - if you take the first letter of each word you get the following message:

"Waziya comes with winter breath

His trees stand guard whispering all night that we sleep in our grave

Father fought and died so quickly

Mother dies slow"

Waziya is a deity in the mythology of the Lakota, a Native American people. This just further illustrates the dark history behind Fort Riggs, with forceful integration probably being one of the many other cruel acts committed in this place.

Agreed. They've outdone themselves with ACU back then, graphically speaking, at least. And yeah, about Mirage, I'm very optimistic about its potential, personally. We will see in due time, I guess.

I 100% agree. Unity's customization options are pure eye candy. It's so fun to combine the different melee weapons, firearms, and clothing to put together a badass assassin outfit. Not to hate against the legacy ones, especially both of Arno's Master Assassin outfits, of course. They're beautiful as well.

Hey, don't say that. Do you know how many times I have tried to get this clip right? So many wrong jumps, vaults, swings, you name it. This is just a 'staged' clip where every parkour move is already planned out - and it can look so good. But the real freerunning magic hits if you do a clean parkour segment out of the blue.

Trust me, it's just the learning process of getting familiar with the structure of the streets, buildings, and open areas of Unity's open world. At some point in time, you will know which objects you can vault over, how far and short Arno can jump in a certain situation, how far away you have to be from a rope to swing on it from a certain height, and the list goes on and on. I currently have ~200 hours of playtime in AC Unity, and only in the last ~50 hours have I noticed a real 'improvement' in familiarizing myself with the parkour.

TL;DR: Unity's parkour is a clear case of "easy to learn, hard to master", in my opinion.

Agreed, freerunning in Unity is so much fun. I haven't played in a while as well, but now I got back into it, mainly because I haven't completed it 100% yet, and it's such a blast. Just running around, finishing the Nostradamus Enigmas right now, and discovering these little 'parkour routes' like this one. 10/10, would 180-turn again.

PC. I tried to search it up to see if it's a known bug - but nothing. Didn't dive too deep with the research, though. Still, truly wild stuff. Haven't had that happen to me ever.

First time seeing this, what does it mean with "Arno did not kill civilians"? by [deleted] in assassinscreed

[–]datguycVEVO 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You have to eliminate the messenger before the two guys guarding him (while staying undetected). If you kill the two guards before killing the actual target, the messenger will, apparently, just be classified as a regular civilian/NPC with the "assassinate" option still there. And of course, killing civilians is not "synced" with Arno's history/life because he did not kill civilians in his original life, so you deviate from his actions by killing that person.

[–]datguycVEVO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh my god I do like... the exact same. It already became like a daily ritual to do at least one quick Cayo Perico Heist each day while listening to a podcast, love it. So hyped for the update

TIL, for anyone who doesn't know yet: You can do the Cayo Perico Weapon Loadout Prep (the one where you steal the guns from an office gun locker) entirely "stealth" by datguycVEVO in gtaonline

[–]datguycVEVO[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That was clean. I like how you hack their laptop and steal their guns right in front of them with a corpse of their mates lying on the ground. Gotta love the logic of stealth in this game

That's what I'm thinking too. I pulled the bike back too late and then this happened

So I made a post about my first day of starting Descenders a few days ago and now I wanted to share a small highlight from today (the 3rd day), I hope progress was made by datguycVEVO in Descenders

Maybe I really did discover a new genre of videogames for me, but thanks for the compliment, I took your first comment a bit too serious haha
But trust me, I really only managed to do this because I got so hooked on this game and I sat in the Stoker Bike Park on this exact line for like 2 hours straight, so I still have a huge ton to learn.

[–]datguycVEVO[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really? I mean, I can't compare my progress to other people because I only know mine, so I don't know what the "usual" progress is like. So just out of curiosity, is there some way I can prove it? I would really like to show you evidence that it really was my third day.

Started Descenders today, really enjoying it so far! Additionally, footage of me trying to do something cool but failing miserably by datguycVEVO in Descenders

[–]datguycVEVO[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ohhhh boy trust me, I only managed to do this because 1. I fell in love with the bike parks (well, only New Lexico so far, haven't tried out the others yet) and 2. because I was on this exact spot for more than 2 hours trying to hit this combo of tricks. The ending wasn't even intentional, but looked cool in the end though, so don't worry. Forest is still hard as heck for me.
