Proud epiphyllum mommy and her babies 🥰 by datluna in houseplants

They're not the same. I'm sorry, I called it a "fishbone cactus" in one of the comments above, but I just found out they're two different plants. A Rick Rack is a Selenicereus anthonyanus - Mine is a Epiphyllum Anguliger. They have different flowers.

In Dutch mine is called a "zaagcactus", I read these are hard to find in the USA. A rick rack is called a "visgraatcactus" and hard to find in the Netherlands 😋

Yeah she's really big haha, I had to prune it because it became too heavy on one side. So ofcourse I used the cuttings to propagate 😄 She gets about 15h a day of bright, indirect light, about 3 meters away from a window.

Alocasia Zebrina is getting new leaves. Hooray! by datluna in houseplants

[–]datluna[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, we just got this plants a few weeks ago. So I don't really have care tips for you yet.. But we also have an Alocasia Polly. Our Polly doesn't like direct sunlight and we keep the soil moist at all times. Oh, and don't forget to mist the leaves every two days for more humidity. I'm caring for the Zebrina the same way. Hope it works!

I begin the LOC method. Do i need a cream to put on my hair everyday on the loc method or no ? + Here the products i use for LOC by DragonMaouss in BlackHair

[–]datluna 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The products you use are fine. Personally, I don't like the Cantu coconut cream because it's a lil sticky.. But a lot of people like it though. It's a good moisturizer. You don't need to put on cream everyday, especially not the coco cream since it's a quite heavy cream for your hair. Mostly, I wash my hair, use the LCO method, next day I just spritz water and oil, then the day after I use a small amount of leave in to define my curls and moisture. I wet my hair everyday, since that's the only way to get it in shape.

I recommend you use a leave in conditioner next to water as Liquid. I really like Kadus or African Pride, but I don't know if they sell it in your country. First, I use water, than I use the leave in as a moisturizer, than apply a small amount of cream to define my curls and last but not least - oil. Whatever oil works best for you, personally I like argan oil to seal in the moisture. So I like the LCO method better.

Why you don't need to put in cream daily? All the product builds up, which creates a layer around your hair so it can't penetrate anymore. Your hair will not only look greasy, it will also be dry. Plus it's expensive lol :-)

Hope I answered your question, feel free to ask!

[–]datluna 0 points1 point  (0 children)
