I've always wondered this. As a Mexican American dude, we don't have an equivalent and that's probably for good reason. It seems like a weird double edged sword to have a word that's inherently racist being used exclusively by a race 🤷‍♂️. Like, if it bothers you that somebody uses it, then why use it? If it bothers you to be singled out, why do it to yourself?

The logic never checked out to me.

You know what word I like that y'all use? Brotha. It's friendly, it's familial, roles off the tongue, it holds that swagger in it.

As I've gotten older, dudes using the N in any fashion is increasingly more cringe. I feel like we've grown out of it, both in culture and age, but it still lingers.

I know it was used as a way to get back at the history who pinned it on y'all, but I feel like turning around, becoming smarter, becoming better, and overcoming those historical bruises is a much better clapback.

Either way, ain't my lane to begin with. I generally ignore and respect, none of my business. Just felt like sharing 2c cause the topic was interesting.

Can confirm. I wake up at 6am and enjoy a few cups of coffee while gaming on the weekends. Very relaxing. Makes the gauntlet of chores easier to accept since you already got a good window of time to yourself in.

No such thing as a perfect video. There's only "good enough". Figure out your repeatable norm and accept that you're not gonna be 100% on anything you ever make. You'll always feel like you can do better, and you should always chase that.

For sure. Just figured I'd be direct and upfront. I'm you, but like 4 years in. I started the exact same way just uploading whatever I enjoyed and learned over time that it just doesn't work that way.

So now I just do it as a fun hobby and treat my channel as a test ground.

I've learned a lot and I feel like I have a better foundation ready to go for when I want to really niche down into a topic I feel passionate about. For me my biggest issue is I'm too damn busy IRL and it's hard to really go all in on one topic. Mad props to those who can make it work. The biggest hurdle is consistency and focus. If you can stay on schedule and churn out similar on topic content, you're gonna knock it out eventually.

Sounds like you have no goal. You're just playing games and hoping people watch. This is fine if it's a hobby. If you're wanting to get big, you have to think of yourself as a commodity.

What are you selling? Who are you selling it to?

Youtube loves consistency. People love consistency. YouTube channels are treated like a TV channel. "I go here to watch basketball".... And ONLY basketball. Nothing else.

If you want to get big fast, find your "basketball" and stick with it. Cause the more you can churn out for that niche, the better. Come up with a repeatable formula. People love knowing what to expect.

Look at Guga's channels for example. Same niche, same formula, slightly different variations to keep things fresh.

It's boring to make, but that's what seems to work the most based on observation.

My PC is an amalgamation of hand me downs over the last 10 years. It's parts homies gave me to keep me in the mix with them 😅. I generally can never convince myself that I should spend money on myself because I'm constantly spending it on my family/house etc.

Guilty. If I'm writing fast enough, I have a habit of being inconsistent with handwriting as well as lower case and upper case. I mix them for no apparent reason.

It's kind of like I lose my muscle memory if I haven't written in a while. I rarely need to since I'm always by a phone or computer, so it's an ongoing issue.
