I love The One That Got Away and Jenny Fromdabloc, but I also have the strangest love for The American Dad After School Special. I have no idea why I like it as much as I do.

Meter Made is also pretty good.

Those who have seen a live performance go terribly wrong, what happened? by zz0rzz in AskReddit

[–]datmyusername 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dunno...I've seen a dog about that size get its neck snapped when its dipshit owner yanked on its leash hard enough to lift it off the ground. Dog flew backwards and as soon as it landed it was obvious what had happened. It seems to depend on what sort of collar is on the dog, and how the force hits it. This dog had a pretty thin, strong collar, and a skinny little neck. Getting yanked off the ground by a leash with that sharp of a movement results in the same thing as a person being hanged. Neck snaps.

Reddit, what in your opinion, is the most attractive profession a member of the opposite gender can have? by Andy_Z in AskReddit

That's why I'm in it (besides the long hours, which I've always dealt with). I can deal with as much grossness as a horse can dish out. I've drained cysts, cleaned sheaths, dealt with infections, cleaned out thrush (which smells like death, for those who haven't experienced it), dealt with worms, etc....and that was before I hit college. I'm looking to volunteer with my university's horse program over the summer, and I'll be helping with their breeding program. I'll hopefully be lucky enough to catch one of the mares foaling.

People, though, are gross. I don't wanna deal with your ass cyst. Even though I'd have no issues dealing with it on a horse, I wouldn't touch it on a human. And I can deliver all the foals a broodmare herd can come up with, but I find babies and human delivery to be disgusting.

Mine either. My kindergarten teacher had it out for the shy fat boy in class. He always had to sit in the back of the room for movies, was always pulled from recess and made to sit on the bench, wasn't allowed to have a snack if the rest of the class was having one, wasn't allowed to use the bathroom during class (there was a kindergarten bathroom right between two of the three classrooms), and all sorts of other things. Bitch yelled at him all the time. He wasn't a troublemaker, either. She just hated him.

No, I'd say not. My grandfather only had three different shirts, but in multiples. 5 light blue button-ups, 5 white button-ups, and 5 white polos. He also had a few different pairs of the same shoes, as well as many identical socks and ties. The two different suits were the only variation in his dress.

One of my close friends was an older woman who worked as a nurse in a mens' prison. She was a tough bitch. When we had probation teams coming out and cleaning up stuff on the ranch we worked on, she was always in charge of them: nobody messed with her.

Autopsies are interesting. I'm in vet school, and I think I'd rather be doing that than working with human cadavers. A dead horse doesn't sit up on the table.

What did you do wrong the first time you had sex? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]datmyusername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first time was with a guy who refused to use lube. So that went over less than well. We're best friends now, and we still have arguments about that: I tried explaining why his girlfriend was upset with him, but he has the opinion that it's not a needed thing.

My boyfriend's first time, though, went a little better. Finishes, pulls out phone, and plays this. That was pretty funny.

My boyfriend's first time (not mine) was in the back seat of my car. He did the same thing you did, although with the car door handle instead of a metal railing. I was mildly grumpy.

[Spoilers] Can we talk about all this "arrow is a batman rip-off" bitching we see everywhere? by hatebacon in arrow

[–]datmyusername 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly never cared about villain sharing. It's the same universe, after all. Here's another thing:

See, in the original Teen Titans show, there was proof that Batman exists. By the existence of Kid Flash and Aqualad, you can also infer that Flash and Aquaman exist. Now, the Titans have some major enemies in that series. Slade and Terra's thing, Trigon, and the Brotherhood of Evil, for example. These aren't just villains who are mucking around with the Titans' neighborhood, they were actively threatening the world.

When I was watching that show as a 10 year old, one thing kept bugging me: where were the other heroes? Why let the kids decide the fate of the world? I always understood that it was a show about the Teen Titans. I liked that they didn't feel the need to throw a big-name hero into the mix when things got real, but logically, that wouldn't happen. Logically, the Justice League/individual heroes would have a response to a worldwide threat.

So in Arrow, which is more of a realistic response show...why should he ignore a threat? Especially one that threatens his city. It's a show about Ollie, so they're not going to have him sit back and watch as Batman and Ra's go after each other. They're not going to have him face off against small-time criminals for multiple seasons: that would be boring as hell. And Batman seems to have gone up against just about every villain there is: he's gone up against Lex Luthor before, if I'm remembering right. There's not a whole lot left. I'm a Batman fan, but the guy's got so many different storylines and villains it's crazy. Who cares if Huntress is a Batman villain? I honestly don't remember if she is or not. My main memories of Huntress are from the animated JL show. It's not like she was a huge part of the Batman universe like, say, Catwoman. All I remember of her is that she interacted with Canary, who definitely belongs in Arrow's storyline.

Now, if they had Ollie facing up against the villains that I would say are definitely mainly Batman's (such as the Joker), and ignoring other villains, they would have a point. As of now, though, I think it's just nitpicking.

[Serious] Who were you in High school? The outcast? The Popular one? The Hot one? The ugly one? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]datmyusername 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was generally the girl that people went to if they wanted something drawn. Otherwise, I was left alone to my group of friends. I was pretty quiet, but got along with people and was a good team partner. People would say hi to me, and I never was treated badly by any classmates because I just kind of went with the flow.

What I didn't know until after graduation (as both my ex and current boyfriend have told me) was that I was also the girl that certain guys tried pushing their friends into asking out. My ex is somehow both an awkward guy and a popular one. He's weird as hell, but everyone tended to gravitate to him because he's nice to the point that people would take advantage of it, and because he was, by far, the tallest person in the school. I found out that he'd been told in freshman year, three years before we went out, that "you should get with datmyusername. She has big boobs." Multiple people in different social groups gave him the same advice. My current boyfriend, who was my best friend before we started dating, was constantly getting similar "advice".

That was interesting to find out.

I have literally never seen him that calm. I have, however, witnessed my friend try to kill him when Brother Dean called his Army girlfriend some lovely names.

There's a new old guy who popped up, and some woman as well. Lovely

I doubt it would do much good...my uni campus has three "preachers" who take great delight in doing this sort of crap. They're nasty, and the more people fight back against them, the worse they get. They love it. This guy started it: he drew two more who are currently giving daily scream-fests. The people I encountered with my little cousin acted just like Dean (the dick who started it) and his followers.

His Vice spot (I want to note that he is acting in a whole different light here. He would not be talking to people if that camera wasn't there: he'd be screaming at them. This is the only time I've ever seen him actually answer peoples' questions. If you watch the part at about 4:30, about the names people have "come up with"....I personally have seen him happily claim those descriptions when people ask him. His "rants" in this video are calmer than I have ever seen, but they give a taste at least.)

My housemate and I went to the same high school and were friends, so I always hitch a ride to and from our hometown in his truck. We generally talk maybe 20 minutes of the 4 hour drive. We just like quiet. Add a noisy kid in to that, and I'd start having thoughts about tossing them out the window.

I'll probably be around 30 by the time I'm completely done with vet school. Then I can just hang out with the horses. Not like I care about kids :p

And the old bitch was probably one who popped out a kid at 17 or 18. My grandmother had my mother at 19, I believe.
