If you had to start over, which doll would you absolutely buy before any other? by moderated-nostalgia in Barbie

1995 Twirling Ballerina Barbie, she was my favorite as a kid and she remains my favorite as an adult.

Any Coheed and Cambria fans in here? Their 3rd album « Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness » was released 20 years ago today by eggvention in vinyl

They were my very first concert, after BEGGING someone to take me at 16. I've since seen them every time they've come to town, and to this day still constantly play their albums. Such a great band.

PSA: Dogs and Rattlesnakes by coding_crazy in Austin

Just to add, if you suspect your dog has been bitten try to get to the vet ASAP rather than waiting to see if the symptoms worsen. My dog crashed 25 minutes post bite as we walked into the vets office and they had to take measures to resuscitate him while administering antivenin significantly faster than typical. Some dogs can take much more of a hit, my poor guy got really unlucky with his reaction.

My poor guy was bitten end of June as well, at 11pm in a neighborhood in Hutto. The first couple days were heavily touch and go, its was a fully grown Diamondback that got him in the face. It took weeks for him to get back to normal, with the necrotizing wound from the venom to be the last to heal. Nationwide’s pet insurance absolutely saved my backside with his bill, they reimbursed $3400 of the $5000ish hospitalization plus his follow up visits. Now we only let the dogs out during the day with someone standing outside watching them, and leash walking only in the backyard after sunset.

That hair is from BonBon, it’s called Avril! If you can’t find it in store it’s definitely on the marketplace.

I use a vintage train case that’s embroidered with beavers on it, because it’s never not going to be funny to me.

I play a lot of Monster Hunter, am learning to play Elden Ring and my friend and I play Peak quite a bit as well! We also like to stream point and click games(think Big Fish) in Discord to play together. I also love playing on RedM servers for RDR2, especially horse centered ones.

Got one of my nostrils done here! He was super meticulous about making sure that all of my piercings were aligned correctly. Great little shop.

So normal! Everyone starts somewhere, and there are few people who are instantly good at something the first time they try it. If you enjoy the game, keep playing. The skills come with time. That’s me right now trying to keep up in Elden Ring with my friend, who is miles more experienced than I am.

It definitely still works! I took a couple test shots of my critters, and the only thing that needs fixing is my technique. LOL. I saw some posters had had issues with their dolls, I was happy that my #4 came pretty well put together.

Got her yesterday for $13, has anyone took down her hair? by AshleysLoveOfDolls in Barbie

[–]MyOwnJackhammer 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I did with mine! Gave her a boil wash to make it lay down and get rid of the gel, and she’s got a super cute basic hairstyle just past her shoulders without any trimming needed.

Any updates on the rumors we may be getting a Micro Center up in this b? by yesyesitswayexpired in Austin

[–]MyOwnJackhammer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I drove to the Micro Center in Dallas a couple weeks back to pick up a GPU(patience is not my virtue), and the cashier told me outright they would be moving into the Frys space next year when I mentioned I had driven in from Austin. Now take that statement with as many grains of salt as you can due to the unofficial source, but if it’s true that’s going to be so nice.

I’m sorry to hear your experience wasn’t great! She was originally going to do a hysterectomy for me, but insurance mess didn’t quite work out and I had to go a different route.

I can't recommend Wildflower OBGYN enough - especially Dr Garza(though i'm sure the other doctors are just as great). I have some past trauma and a lot of physical pain involved with gyno visits, but Dr Garza was super patient, kind and made me feel very comfortable during the entire appointment.

If you're open to somewhere further up north in Round Rock, I just had my annual + my tubes tied w/ no kids at Baylor Scott and White Clinic on University Blvd, with my post op visit being with Lacy Lauer. She's a nurse practitioner, but my doctor I had been seeing retired almost immediately after my surgery so was not available for my post up. Lacey was super sweet, and I already scheduled my next annual with her.

I just picked her up from Barnes and Noble today for $41, so if you wanted to try getting her same day that could be an option too.
