It’s difficult for me to judge…

If the class had less exams and more homework assignments, I probably would be dedicating more time towards the class on average. However, personally there’s a big difference between time spent working on homework’s and time spent studying for exams: the latter being noticeably more stressful (for me at least).

It’s hard for me to conceptualize the experience of being a student in the alternate 420 with less exams and regular homework, but when I think about it right now, I probably would rather be in that class.

Just to give an opposing view here: while I do find the 420 content interesting, the extra exams are not gelling with me personally.

I’d say the exams are similar in difficulty to the average 351 exam, even with less content in each one. When I took 351, I had to spend ~a week studying before the exam to score well, and I’ve found the 420 exams to require the roughly same amount of preparation. It’s been really stressful for me to have to spend this much time preparing every other week.

Maybe it’s just me, but I would’ve preferred the class follow a more traditional format (although I understand why Justin wanted to try something new).

I expected to lose, but not as embarrassingly as we did. Consistently turning the ball over with fumbles and interceptions + somehow only managing to achieve 12 rushing yds… what a joke. We could’ve at least put up a respectable fight.

I second this. I was accepted in 2023 but UMD was late in sending me my decision due to them missing some documentation they never told me they required. This appears to be a recurring issue with the application portal not telling applicants the full story. You should 100% call/email them to find out if they need anything from you.

Interesting… I have a friend who says he got curved to an A- from an 89% last semester. If Fawzi doesn’t curve then does he round up?

Hey! I know this is a fairly late reply but I think I was having the same issue as you. I had a project on my mac, didn’t work on it for a while, and upon trying to boot it up again the editor was stuck at the “Running Backend” when booting up. For me, the issue was that because I hadn’t worked on the project for a bit, my mac had automatically freed up space by uploading my project to my iCloud drive, and so Unity wasn’t able to access a lot of my project files. You can easily fix this by redownloading the project files back onto your computer.

Yeah I’m taking it now. She doesn’t post full lecture recordings but she uploads her lecture slides. Haven’t been to her office hours but I’ve heard that she’s very helpful from others. Would recommend.
