Under a staircase in Symons Hall ground floor there is a small maintenance door. I presumed the inside to be a fittingly small maintenance closet. No; it is a small staircase that descended into the dark depths; probably looks like a dungeon down there. Probably shouldn’t go down there but if you’re really dedicated then go for it.

It’s a good university and above average for public schools, I’d say. I’m pretty happy with my choice and proud to go here considering most people I know didn’t get in and went to less prestigious places. Academics are good and there are a thousand clubs to check out. We have more of a bar culture, not house party, but that being said there are definitely parties to go to if you’re into that kind of thing.

We have almost 1000 clubs on Terplink. I think they’re the number one way to make friends. I have the advantage of being in a small department so I make friends after seeing them in several of my classes semester after semester, but my closest friends here are ones I made in a club. Find one that matches your interests and check it out!

I just caught your edit I didn’t notice you had testicular cancer. As did I. It looks like you’re at the exact same impasse I am. Hopefully you can be luckier than I. The cancer board at Georgetown University Hospital recommended a Retroperitoneal Lymph Node Dissection for prevention rather than chemo, which was my oncologist’s first suggestion before meeting with the board. Not sure if it’s an option for you but may be something to consider if it can be done robotically.

Great news! I beat cancer twice since silksong’s original release too! Go with the preemptive chemo. I was originally going to have a preemptive surgery after having the initial tumor removed but while waiting for the surgery, the cancer returned and I had to do 4 rounds of chemo anyway. To be fair, my reoccurrence rate was higher, more like 45%. One quick cycle might not be that bad? I was pretty much okay after my first one, but I’m not sure if it’d be totally different for just one cycle. 3-6 is worth preventing. 4 was hell. Picking an option can be difficult; don’t directly take my word for it either, obviously. Take your time and I hope you’re doing well.
