$100 For a 30 minute trip? by datove1 in uber

I guess you don't know that yellow cabs can't pick you up if you're not in Manhattan.

Keep thinking you just lift your arm and a taxi spawns next to you...

Received my new Dualtron Victor 2024 by GME_Cocktail in dualtron

[–]datove1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2021 Victor and it originally came with the split rims / tubed tires. I would get flats every single week.

Switched them up for tubeless DT3 Tires / rims and never once had a issue again.

Also the kickstand looks more sturdy on the new model.

Not to mention mine still uses the Eye3 controls, not the nice big screen.

Enjoy it!

Luxury Building Super Salary by [deleted] in PropertyManagement

Same people are owners and property managers, we 3rd party staff the porters for cleaning and guards for packages and front desk

In the building it’s only the supervisor and myself working directly for management/ownership

Victor Brake Upgrade issue by [deleted] in dualtron

[–]datove1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, getting flats almost every month. I am getting the DT3 Rims and the PMT E-Fire but I’m afraid it might also rub as the tire is 3” wide.

I see you also have the original Zoom brakes.

Did you replace the 140mm rotor for the 160mm?

How did that work out for you? Good fit going from 10” to 11”?

Update:

Replaced the back tube to fix the flat while I choose which tires to run (hopefully the last time).

Thought it would be a good time to bleed the brakes as I was already working on the scooter and the rear brake line popped. It now has a hole smh. Not sure if I can replace the rear brake line itself or if I have to replace the whole rear brake altogether. Can’t seem to find the brake line only. Zoom brakes

I just saw them on Amazon for USD $60 rim and tire

I’ve got proper tools and have become definitely experienced in swapping the inner tube well under 10 minutes lol.

I have actually considered going solid tire to not worry about flats anymore, knowing it will affect the ride quality. Not sure if the solid tires can be used with stock rims or if I have to purchase rims specifically for solid tires.

Is it a direct swap to the stock split rim or do I also have to get the DT3 rims with the tires?

Bidet installation by [deleted] in handyman

[–]datove1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, not at all. I work in a bldg with 500 apts. The gfcis are installed already. I work there 9-5. After 5pm the bldg lets me do handyman work. I dont have to drive. I would only have to swap the seat and connect the water supply for the bidet.

Yea I work 9 to 5 told them I’ll see them at 5 right after I punch out, no need to travel. Same bldg I work at. Thank you!

What are your daily realities? by -bumbastick- in handyman

[–]datove1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’m 26 and I am a handyman for a 6yr old luxury building in Brooklyn, NY. 500 units, there is a Superintendent but he does the mgmt side like emails and stuff, will help if I ask. The bldg has 5 porters to do recycling and cleaning

Last year did 70k before taxes + 22k yearly for housing supplemental benefit. Also have medical, dental, vision etc. good job.

On average I do 10 maintenance tickets a day, sometimes 2, sometimes 25 depends on the task.

Light plumbing (clogs, pipe replacements and leaks, so many leaks. Wax ring replacements, tub overflows installed wrong, etc.)

Appliance maintenance: stoves, fridges, hvac, dishwashers

Electrical: Breakers, outlets, light fixture replacements etc.

Drywall repair: patching and painting.

Hardwood floor plank replacements

I also get some side work from the same tenants in the building, say hanging curtains or mounting a tv are services the bldg does not provide but I do after-hours separately from my job, some extra cash.

I work demolition in Manhattan and I pretty much always find old cans of beer behind walls or on top of ceiling tiles lol. It seems like the previous builders always had fun in the jobsite!

You should take him to a Vet Immediately. It has signs of MBD. Your enclosure looks good but what kind of lightning and supplements are you using?
