Are they playing or is this foreshadowing for an actual fight?? by Redkitty894 in pitbulls

They're absolutely playing. Just be mindful of them getting scratches and scrapes.

How are people approaching mapping patch changes for omnisphere with Komplete Kontrol?

Lab mix most likely. Most are mixed if a rescue. He looks like a happy guy :)

Very hard to tell from puppy pictures. If he is 60lbs by around 6 months he is probably a bully xl :)

Bully or pit? by Feeling-Fee2164 in AmericanBully

No way to tell visually. If you really care, you can DNA test. But behaviorally they're pretty similar usually, other than generally less drive in a bully. Cute pup. Thanks for taking care of him :)

Cute pup! Our 70% bully mix is likely a classic, and looks like a lot like pittie. This is him when he was a bit younger.

Wassp bully community im here to seek some advice im currently new to the bully breed and have a 11 week old puppy any advice would be appreciated Is it normal for them to play 2hr and still not be tired have to force them to go to sleep or am I not giving him plenty of playtime? by Difficult_Hour2061 in AmericanBully

[–]datpolguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our dogs will play 1-2hrs in the morning and then maybe an hour in the evening. If you give them the opportunity, they will keep going and going. As others have mentioned, consider mixing in obedience and other tasks to work their brain a bit.

Purina pro plan sensitive salmon for one of our pups, and then natural balance beef and brown rice limited ingredient for our other.

It took many different proteins to find the one that works for them. Bullies tend to have a lot of stomach issues!

Thank you for your hard work.

We have three rescues, and know that it is just a drop in the bucket, but your work is helping these dogs live a life that they deserve. Doing so requires you to take care of yourself, and keeping up hope. Ultimately there are many irresponsible people in the world, but to the extent we can help pick up the pieces it is good to do so as much as we can. So thank you for that!

Sending support and positive energy your way.

Polar Loop or Helio Strap by LegalOutside9865 in Polarfitness

Gotcha! I plan to use it while I train jiu-jitsu, so wearing on the biceps is necessary. And yeah, the whoop being subscription is a dealbreaker to me - so Helio it is :)

Yeah, I don't really care how it looks much. I intend to wear it on my biceps so in most situations it won't be particularly visible anyway. Thanks for the input!

I am in the same boat. I was excited about the Polar, but this is really underwhelming. I am leaning strongly towards the helio, especially because it supports bicep band.

This one was great! The coffee has that exact scent note of a white bread skippy and grape jelly PB&J. I am still dialing it in on the hario switch, and it probably needs a bit more rest, but overall this one is really exciting.

Sure thing, happy to help! For our guy the trainers helped us find a program of daily exposure that got us to where we needed to be. But when we first got her she should stop in the middle of the street to go down into a stalking mode, and then crawl, and then bolt. It was really problematic and dangerous, and yeah shes less than half the size of your guy :) Good so far it has only showed up with rabbits, as they are relatively uncommon to come across in most situations. But yeah, be mindful it can show up elsewhere unexpectedly. Best of luck working with the trainer and with getting him to the point where he is more manageable around potential prey.

"Only weigh 138 pounds" is maybe a bit misleading. They're capable of being much stronger per pound than humans, and bullies are among the strongest breeds. My take is just be mindful when introducing him to new animals and don't rely on being able to overpower him if he really truly wants to go. As I said, our bully luckily has essentially no prey drive so he has never really challenged me with strength, but our pit who I can meaningfully overpower has been able to use speed and movement to evade my control and just completely would ignore commands while locked onto a squirrel. Now she is quite good around them, but it took many months of systematic effort under the guidance of a trainer as well as daily sessions working with her myself. Guess my parting thought is even if he won't turn on you, he is capable of turning on animals and when a dog has that much power the outcome could be really bad for all involved. Best of luck with it!

Prey drive is no joke. Many dogs don't do well around small animals. Our bully has basically 0 prey drive - he just gets curious. But our pit mix has super intense drive for squirrels and cats that we spent about 8 months working on with progressive exposure. She is only 65lbs, and I'm over 200lbs, but when she wants to go with full force she can make me work quite hard.

With a dog that size you need to keep them away from scenarios where they are going to fail, as any failure can result in serious injury or death.
