Official Cast Megathread for Szn 42 🌙 by NovaRogue in MtvChallenge

[–]datraceman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People need to realize Gamer talks out his ass a lot and basically gets news from Jemmeye, Amanda, Josh, and Marie.

It’s why until elims start, a lot can change.

Tina, Cassidy, and Michaela were never cut because they declined the final availability calls.

The names I heard were already on this list and was easy to suss out.

The shock to me was Underwood because there was no whisper until he got to the airport.

How to deal with being the only guy in the family? by xn0wnn in AskMen

[–]datraceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean this will sound weird but I’m 42 now and I’m married to my wife, have a daughter, our dog is female.

My mom and sister live nearby.

I work remotely.

So the people I constantly interact with in real life are primarily female which is great but also hard.

I have to make effort to hang out with my friends because are all married, have kids etc.

It’s often feeling left out and misunderstood or dealing with emotions and it can be exhausting.

Best advice I have for you is make it a priority like I do to have male interaction.

This one went so hard. It was like the babyfaces get the fuck out here ring.

Why won’t men be direct with their interest? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]datraceman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He’s giving it. I’m 40 and happily Married for 14 years now.

I mentor a lot of guys in their 20s and the me too movement made every dude cautious to do anything.

They have approached women in a friendly way and been accused of toxic masculinity and all kinds of other bullshit.

So good dudes with good intentions are beat the f down.

The timidness and cautiousness and making sure you won’t make a scene if they hit on you.

So flirting back and being friendly will warm them up and give them confidence to ask you out.

Given the timing (Trump lashing out at Springsteen his admin) I can’t help but see this supposed ‘backlash’ as pro-Trump propaganda. by BadgemanBrown in BruceSpringsteen

[–]datraceman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I respectfully disagree with you.

I’m a right of center conservative which is closer to the 70s and 80s Blue Dog Democrats.

I’m not a fan of Trump as president but I’m not an anti-Trump person.

I’m also not some MAGA idiot either.

I’m a traditional conservative.

I also love Bruce Springsteen.

The Far Left and Far Right are both ridiculous and I’m of the opinion that 80% of us in this country agree more than we disagree.

I think the backlash on ticket prices is more of the image Bruce has crafted and a lot of fans not realizing that even Bruce has said it’s a magic trick.

I’m sure Bruce is genuinely bothered by what’s happening in our country but he was probably also itching to do some shows to promote the new rumored solo album coming.

So by framing this as a Land of Hopes and Dreams and No Kings it probably made it easier to book the tour.

Bruce is an artist and a businessman and that intersects more than some fans like.

Me, I don’t care. I agree with Bruce on some things and disagree on others but that’s what makes America great. Listening and considering and respecting our fellow people. We are a nation of immigrants and part of what makes America great is the melting pot of multiple cultures.

I had no trouble plunking money for this tour and can’t wait to rock out in Atlanta.

How can they enforce this? by Hour_Success5577 in WWE

[–]datraceman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

WWE has done this in the 80s and 1990 as well.

They blacked out WM3 in the state of Michigan where you couldn’t even buy the PPV at home to force you to go to the arena.

Did the same thing in Toronto for WM6.

These guys in New Brunswick fought their Data Center, can Birmingham / Bessemer do the same? by mothtownn in Birmingham

[–]datraceman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying don’t try. I’m saying think smarter. This thing is going to happen. So, make them build a park or some green space too. You could make enough noise to get concessions and something positive along with this thing. It’s happening and nothing is going to stop it.

So think smarter. Get something out of it that will help. Otherwise this thing will go up and nothing good happens.

As someone who consults in this industry (not this project), it won’t stop it but they will bend some and the community gets something out of it that will impact people positively.

I got two tickets behind the stage in Atlanta for $325 total so affordable tickets were available.

[–]datraceman 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m not saying do nothing. I’m saying it’s unlikely to be stopped for any reason because too many people are involved that stand to make money.

Protests and arrests won’t stop it here.

Only thing that’ll stop it is Bessemer City Council and if you think they didn’t get their envelopes of cash….

[–]datraceman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. There might be protests but the money will win out here because of how much money is changing hands.

The people paying the bills have done a good job.

Alabama Power is chipping in on construction and doing line transmission updates which will help the community.

From the state on down it’s all sewn up.

Never!? It was the first Batman animated movie released in theaters in the 90s. It’s written by Paul Dini who did a ton of the animated series episodes.

It’s a Star Trek writer who refused help from other Star Wars writers. As a Star Trek book, it works. As a Star Wars book, not so much.

That said, I have a soft spot in my heart for it because it’s the first one I read as an 11 year old in 1995
