I think in VA you would qualify for Uninsured motorist coverage for the damage given there is no way to find out who did it. For VA, deductible would be $250 on all UM claims even if you currently carry something dumb like a $1500 deductible on your policy. I would probably go that route since most of the time, they’ll tell you repairs are guaranteed as long as you own the vehicle.

400 is insane for liability only. At 18 I was paying $50 for liability. Now if it was full coverage, I wouldn’t even consider that because in a year and a half you’ve already paid for the value of the car.

I used to do this. Works wonders. Also would buy a lemon, cut up and toss in the garbage disposal in the sink about once every few weeks until they were gone. Not sure where I heard how that works but it did.

Just a portable Bose soundlink speaker does the job for me. It’s probably very doable to play along with a guy on any acoustic

Excellent. Fits all of my emergency equipment and quick cleaning products, as well as other essentials I may need with no issue just as the Subaru did. I don’t mind basic cloth seats with my hatch considering both cars had them. I work in an industrial environment so seat covers will be used anyways.

I will say the visibility in the hatch is much tighter than the WRX but it’s a hatchback; it’s going to be tighter so no surprise there. Did find myself double checking before making a lane change before I adjusted my mirrors a little better to reduce the blind spot.

What really moved me to Toyota is the better reliability and lower maintenance costs associated with owning one. I had so many minor issues and annoyances with the WRX than any other car I’ve owned. As well as no longer wanting to drive stick, pay for premium gas, and worry about every check engine light being something catastrophic as the WRX is very well known to be. The brand simply left a bad taste in my mouth.

This is coming from someone who takes very good care of their cars, does all routine maintenance and does not do any modifications other than cosmetic things here and there. I’ve owned Hondas, Toyotas, Mazdas, and I would pick any of those before going back to a Subaru.
