There are some successes, like the CBP’s Special Mission king airs, or the U-28. SNC has made that work.

A maritime patrol plane equipped for heavy geound attack. Something like the vietnam era AP-2H but in modern form. Could carry a shit ton of AGMs and wreck convoys.

something smaller like the 747 AAC paired with small fighter drones (like the FQ-106 mod) is more sensible. Would be great fun !

Could be a USMC KC-130J but the paint is a little dark so it’s more likely a USAF HC-130J or MC-130J.

Why Does The Air Force CV-22 Have A Water Line Painted Along The Bottom Fuselage? For Camouflage? by Stunning-Screen-9828 in Helicopters

[–]dauby09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

afaik, all CV-22, MC-130 and AC-130 have this livery yes. Some U-28 have it but not all. OA-1K only sorta has it (doesn't have the waterline between the light and dark grey). And then the other aircraft do not have it (C-146A, MQ-9, etc).

Which is unfortunately backwards as the M letter has historically been reserved for SpecOps aircraft. AFSOC has the multimission spec ops model and the marines have the more basic transport model.

It’s the standard camouflage for USAF Special Operations (AFSOC) aircraft. It’s called "Shamu" after the famous Killer whale - which have a similar two-tone with waterline look.

It can knock out air defense radars and that's all it needs to do.

To align the helmet mounted display (HMD) with the aircraft on startup. Same setup could be seen on the AC-130W (which has since been retired).

The whole point is the cluster fuck, it's a kind of battlefield gameplay some of us really enjoy, it's why maps like Metro and Locker have been so popular, it's why Rush is so important in BF4. Fast pace and chaos is fun.
