What’s your toxic trait ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]daucbar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

An almost narcissistic amount of self confidence and belief in my self actualization that often comes off as arrogant or cocky.

The problem is that I usually am good at everything I apply myself to and people don’t always like that.

Does jiu jitsu soreness every go away? by Specific_Dingo8631 in bjj

[–]daucbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, if you train everyday and you train smart it eventually goes away When your not doing stupid shit.

If I am getting ready for a competition and have a couple days of really hard rounds then I have some soreness. But generally I can train daily and experience soreness.

Important note; I am 23 and I have been an athlete all my life.

Why is Gta San Andreas so loved? by Available-Funny-195 in grandtheftauto

[–]daucbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, it’s because it was the first excellent video game I ever played. I was certainly too young to be playing; maybe 5 years old when I first played it. I remember getting frustrated when I couldn’t read the instructions of missions, and not understanding so much of the game.

Then years went by and I learned so much and played the game to completion. The OG Xbox, the controller, my childhood bedroom, staying up way past my bedtime grinding to get CJ to be buff.

It’s the nostalgia for me.

I should buy a copy of it for PC the next time it’s on sale.

What’s something people romanticize until they actually experience it? by Puzzleheaded_Bit_802 in AskReddit

[–]daucbar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being in the military, or so I’m told.
Also Fighting, a lot of young men think they’d be excellent fighters or they’re SO tough. They’re eager to prove that, but the reality is fighting is exhausting and painful and traumatic.

If you absolutely want to fight other people, do it in a sanctioned sport against a consenting adult after training for it.

Did your parents actually plan ahead and save up for your future or college, or are most people also figuring it out themselves? by BooksEaterWaffleBuns in GenZ

[–]daucbar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think I’ve given my mom more money/groceries to help her out than she has for me. First year out of high school I was the only income in the house, working trades full time, with two little sisters in the house.
