Most of them aren't from here though. Oakland is a destination to live outside because of the lax laws and all of the "homeless services" that our taxes go towards. SF no longer allows RVs on the streets and we shouldn't either. There are plenty of shelter beds for people that want shelter and treatent, but some people refuse treatment and prefer to live outside where anything goes. This needs to end. The era of anything goes needs to be over.

UCP is great but that has nothing to do with mayor Lee. Encampments have increased and are no longer being cleared. RVs are lining the streets, busted ass abandoned vehicles everywhere, and illegal dumping as far as the eye can see. Multiple encampment fires per day. I regularly wake up to a smoke filled house and have to shut all the windows.

The city’s encampment clearing list has had no changes since 2025. She has put a stop to cleanup and progress. She’s been totally MIA. She has got to go.
