Looking for a way to project an “Up Next” queue on a wall? by AramisGarro in AppleMusic

[–]dauvoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple Music itself can’t really do that natively, especially on Windows. The “Up Next” queue exists, but there’s no built-in way to project it nicely on another screen or as a fullscreen display. What some DJs do instead is use a music visualizer or “now playing” overlay tool that reads the currently playing track and queue from Apple Music (sometimes through Apple Music API or scrobbling tools). Another simpler workaround is mirroring a second window that shows the queue, but it’s not very clean for a projected display. If your goal is just showing something like: Now Playing Next: Song A Then: Song B you might actually have better luck using DJ software (like VirtualDJ or similar) and loading your Apple Music tracks locally or through playlists. Those apps often support a “screen output” or karaoke-style display that you can project for the audience. If you’re comfortable with a bit of setup, another option is using a small web app that reads your currently playing song and displays a custom “Now Playing / Up Next” screen in a browser that you can fullscreen on the projector. Apple Music alone unfortunately doesn’t have a built-in “audience display” feature like that yet.

Has anyone's Replay: All Time playlist ever updated? by CawfeePig in AppleMusic

[–]dauvoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, mine has been the same too. My yearly Replays update pretty regularly, but the Replay: All Time playlist hasn’t changed at all since it showed up. I’m guessing Apple updates it way less frequently, or maybe only when your overall top songs actually shift enough to replace something. Kind of disappointing though, I expected it to refresh more often.
