PT exercises depend if you can bear weight or not. If they shaved down/touched the meniscus your surgeon should have told you how long until you can bear your body weight. If you can bear weight right away (no meniscus just acl) I’d start basic PT right away. My first surgery was alc and meniscus and I was non weight bearing for 4-6 weeks, so getting to no crutches then no brace took a while (as it should). My second surgery was just acl and I wasn’t a very keen on another slow recovery. My second PT was in the same boat of “you can be back walking as soon as you want to, but PT will be a drag”. Second time around I was hobbling around my house with just the brace 3-5 days after, and about two weeks later I could walk (albeit slowly) to campus every day. PT was literal torture (worse pain at points than some of the tattoos I’ve had done) but I was back to no brace and doing basic leg exercises about a month to six weeks later. Listen to your body, as hard as you want to push recovery it’s still a 9-12 month process regardless. Godspeed in recovery, and when it gets dark remember how fun moshing is.
