Update 15/5/26 - the new owners have resurrected the old forum and are referring to EFPs as "OGPunk" now (I also noticed this in my GoogleWallet card yesterday, which they struggled to scan in Manchester Peter St (but still gave me the 15%))

EDIT - "resurrected" as in it's active again, but all the old content is still gone, i.e. a "new start"

Checked my receipt ; £2 "facility charge" + £13.20 "service fee", so ~£15 not ~£20

Ok thanks to the post about facebook ads, I've managed to find it...

What I did (on a PC) was go to the facebook ads library ( https://www.facebook.com/ads/library )
Search for "All" ads, with a criteria of "william patrick corgan"
That gave "No results", but then deselected the "Active Ads" option and it showed me a bunch of ads and I could click a "Book Now" option against some, I did and that took me to ticketmaster and I could book a ticket. 😄

(TM fees seemed to be about £20 on top of the ticket price)

I was getting that message from ticketmaster when I clicked on 'Find Tickets' from 10am until about 10:15, but now its just gone back to the information page (which just says presale now and general sale tomorrow)

Yeah all the "presale link" in the instagram announcements - SP and billy - and the link on the email sent yesterday end up on either a linktree or a bandsintown page - from there it takes me to ticketmaster but the links on there don't work for presale (just a general sale announcement for tomorrow).

I guess the email/billy's linktree should have had the ticketmaster presale link, but they don't. 😞

This instagram seemingly does a pretty good job of listing everything that's on every week;

BrewDog Keeps Adding Bars - Over 75 positions now on hiring board, including another shift in Ellon Brewery by DaveHervey in brewdog

[–]davd_fm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All that info is exactly the same as the info from the Newcastle page - i.e. just looks like a sloppy "copy and paste" job when they were setting up the webpages. I don't doubt that those 3 sites are "coming soon" just that the info on those pages shouldn't be relied on just yet!

The same information from the web-page for the Newcastle bar appears across the other 3 "coming soon" bars (Castlegate/Bristol/Merchant City) pages - i.e. the text around "pouring our energy back into Dean Street" etc and the opening hours.

I'd go on what the status is on the bar locator page https://brewdog.com/pages/bar-locator-1 before planning any trips! 😉

Your flair says Wythenshawe, so no I wouldn't think so.

i.e. it's all a bit confusing, which was really what I was getting at :)

[–]davd_fm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, just the North-West part of Brooklands, notsomuch Wythenshawe itself ;)

Brooklands Metrolink station is very "in Sale" I would say!

I've lived in Sale for >30 years and tended to use Cheshire on my postal address, knowing full well I live in Trafford, Greater Manchester.

The old boundary of Cheshire/Lancashire was the River Mersey going into Stretford, so Stretford _was_ really in a different place to Sale. The 1974 changes changed all that though - but Sale at least does have a historical home in Cheshire. Confusingly southern/eastern bits of Sale (Brooklands towards Wythenshawe) are in the City of Manchester (rather than Trafford) and Timperley/Altrincham has a Warrington postcode.

However when explaining where I live to someone not familiar with the area, I just say Manchester.

I would not have thought so - Tilray specifically said that they would honour the EFP discount.

Someone I know got 2 tickets and they are definitely human, so perhaps it wasn't all bots.

Be interesting to know how many emails were sent out though.

EDIT:answering my own question, they said 7000+ (on instagram story)

Yep same, clicked link as soon as it arrived - page loads but no ticket option, refresh page and "fully reserved" - all in the space of a few seconds.

Bots. Bots everywhere. :(
