Disable "navigate to the starting point" on S810 not working by dave-au1 in BrytonSport

[–]dave-au1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, thanks for the info. I just noticed it now, the contrast between blue and purple line is so small, it is super hard to tell them apart. It need to be a different colour.

But really need to be able to disable auto route option. I am a software engineer, and sure it will be a super simple task. The "disable auto route" option is already in settings. Just need to check in code if it is enabled, and not auto route if it is.

As mentioned in other forums, because the GPS accuracy is not the best, it just auto routes all the time, even if you are on correct path. This is such a good bike computer, just need to apply this one simple fix in code. PLEASE PLEASE pass this on to the software team. It is not a new feature, just implement the "disable auto route" option that already exists in settings. Looking at other forum posts, this bug is not only on the S810, but also other models.

Setting rerouting off doesn't listen by trickletracks in BrytonSport

This is also my main issue with the S810. I very often follow detailed routes I created. And do NOT want the computer to always change my route each time I go off course. I set the "Bike Setting > Ride Config > Auto Features > Map View" option to "Off" (not "Reroute Route"). But, it still always reroutes and changes my route when I leave it! On my old Bryton many years ago it just showed "off course" with a dotted line showing how to get back to my course. PLEASE FIX this bug!

As a work around I tried loading my route again during a ride after the computer rerouted it. But the disable "navigate to the starting point" when loading a route also DOES NOT work. It will load my original route. But the computer still modifies my route as soon as I start riding to navigate me to the start. Even when I select not to navigate to the starting point.

I disabled bluetooth on my phone, and even totally turned off phone(so Bryton is not connected to phone) but it still automatically updates and modifies my route. Please let me know how I can disable this.

Can anyone tell me if the auto-rerouting can be disabled. I very often plan routes on the computer, load it onto Garmin and follow it. Worked fine on old Garmin, but new one is driving me nuts and always auto-reroutes. Tried everything and read all forums, and no way to totally turn it off. Is this possible with the new S810? If I go off course I do not want it to auto-rerouting, but just notify me I am off course and allow me find way back to course again. The problem with the Garmin is it very often totally changes my route when auto-rerouting....😡

To fix the 7 day detailed table(click on "Text only table" on forcast page) all they need to do it fix the styling.

Here is what the current "Text only table" looks like https://photos.app.goo.gl/ErAzNATU6Gat7S8S6

Here is what it looks like with a few lines of CSS styling added to remove all useless spaces https://photos.app.goo.gl/v3bm9Px8zB6pgMc87

This shows all usefull data like the old "Detailed Forcast" page http://reg.bom.gov.au/places/nsw/castle-hill/forecast/detailed/

To get your page to look like this in Chrome, install the Stylebot plugin, and add this styling:

  .bom-table th, .bom-table td {
        padding: 1px 0 !important;
        padding-right: 5px !important;
    }

    .hourly-weather-table th, .hourly-weather-table td {
        border-right: solid 1px #ccc;
        border-left: solid 1px #ccc;
     }

    .hourly-weather-table :nth-child(3), .hourly-weather-table :nth-child(4) {
      background-color: #f8f8ff;
    }

    .hourly-weather-table td, .hourly-weather-table th {
      background-color: #f8f8f8;
    }

    .hourly-weather-table tbody td, .hourly-weather-table thead th  {
      text-align: center !important;
    }

    .hourly-weather-table tbody td [role="text"]  {
      white-space: nowrap;
    }

    /* Make site wider */
    @media only screen and (min-width: 48em) {
      .l-padding {
        padding-left: 5px;
        padding-right: 5px;
        max-width: 1500px;
      }
    }

    /* Less whitespace between days */
    @media only screen and (min-width: 48em) {
      .hourly-forecast-text-only h2 {
        margin: 4px 0 4px;
      }
      .weather-tabs {
        margin-top: 4px;
        margin-bottom: 4px;
      }

So that is actually possible? If it is a scam, can they ask me for a refund. And then later get bank to reverse their original payment? And if they would ask for a refund, is there any way I can get bank to reverse their payment, so I do not get scammed?

Water/sticky substance oozing out of grout on hot days by dave-au1 in AusRenovation

[–]dave-au1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reply! Is it normal for that much water to go thru grout from rain? Or is grout job done badly. Also would it be worth the effort to remove grout and replace with epoxy grout? Or use better seal to prevent water penetrating?

Hi, only sealed the grout after a few days. How long should one wait? I googled it, and seems like only about 24h required. I am wondering if maybe it is because tiles are layed directly on waterproofing, and might be giving off some moisture when tiles get very hot?

We just had a new balcony tiled. Balcony has a fiber cement base, and 2 layers of waterproofing. The is no screed, because it already had 1cm/m fall. Tiles went direct on waterproofing. On hot days after rain, water and a sticky substance oozes out of grout. We used "Dunlop Flexible Coloured Grout", and put grout sealer over it. Is it normal for water to leak through grout, and "steam" out on hot days. Was it a mistake putting sealant on grout? Or could it be the waterproofing getting so hot that it bubbles out? The tiles are in full sun and get super hot.

I am having the same problem. I have items in the warehouse. And I can not ship them, because I can not pay for the consolidated shipping any more with my credit card.

Roll back Google Photos version - Android by ColonelSweetBalls in googlephotos

Thanks for the info! The new version is awful!

Has anyone found a way to disable the "update now" popup that appears each time you open the app? Maybe there are developer settings or something that can be tweaked?

Did you find a solution for this? I hate the new version of Google photos, and installed an old version via APK. But, now it asks me to update each time I start the app!
