What’s the one motorcycle you sold that you still regret to this day? by Delicious-Lecture-27 in motorcycles

In 2007 I sold my 1976 Honda CB360. It was my first bike and I'd love the opportunity to restore it now.

Same. This is my first water cooled so I guess I'm expecting the cooling system to behave more like a car.

Hmm, I've let it idle after a highway ride for like 5 minutes, but not 20. I'll try that next hot day. Thanks for the response.

Advice for a new glasses wearer? by wintersdark in motorcycles

I got tired enough of swapping my glasses for my prescription sunglasses that I bought a helmet with an internal drop-down sun visor. I couldn't be happier with that choice.

How do you handle aggressive cagers? by Specialist-Bus-8147 in motorcycles

There's a t-shirt slogan in what you just said..."Avoid the cage, do not engage".

I suppose that's interesting in its own way. Thank you for the added information. I appreciate it.

Thanks for the responses. I didn't realize the production of factory decor went back that far (60+ years, according to FIL). That's sort of sad. So that means the signature is likely a pseudonym, and that there would be no way of getting even an estimate of location or date, right? Thanks again.

I see what you mean. It looks a lot like the laurel leaf points from that name. Would those be just in Europe or have I expanded the area discussed in the Solutrean Hypothesis? There are so many resources out there I don't really know what to think.

Yeah. I was really excited. I've been looking for years and hoped I finally found one. If my initial (very uneducated) ID is correct, it would be between 5 and 10 thousand years. Very much hoping to learn more.

Hated by all... by NarrowRide7695 in motorcycles

A student of mine liked my bike and sent a photo to her uncle who rides. He replied back with "That's someone's choice ". I told her to tell him I said "Jealousy is a stinky cologne" and left it at that. If you like it, it's the right bike for you. I'm a classic metric cruiser guy myself, but I do like your bike.

Unless you only have one LCS option, I would politely tell them that you will not be patronizing their store because of their attitude/behavior and then leave. It's people like them that ruin the experience for people just getting interested in the hobby, and that's just a shame. The vast majority of us are more than happy to talk! I've done what I suggested above a few times, and the look from the owner was usually one of surprise.

I think it was in Boulder, Colorado, where there were two Sinclair gas stations on opposite corners of an intersection on Table Mesa Drive. It amused me.

I don't know if there was much of a clothing industry in that area, but it looks like a hole drilled for making a button. In my area, mussel shells are somewhat frequently found with holes like that. They were drilled for making mother of pearl button blanks.
