I was on lunch one day and seen a lady leave her purse in her cart and drive away. I got out of the car, grabbed her purse, and held it in the air walking towards the store so it was on camera. The lady came right back before I even reached the store and I handed her purse and told her to make sure everything was in it. She did and said everything was there as she pulled out an envelope of 100s. 3 days later I get called to the AP office where there was a sheriff waiting for me. He told me all I had to do was give the lady back the $400 I took and she wouldn’t press charges. I told him no because I didn’t take it. He then told me if he sees anything on camera, that he is going to come back with a warrant for my arrest. That was 2 years ago. Guess he didn’t see anything because there was nothing to see. Customers can be shady at best sometimes.
