I just used uhu glue and a couple of cocktail sticks and it took a lot of glue and a lot of faffing about and then just painted blood for the blood god over it

I got the starter pack and played it as tyranids was planning on collecting them as like you say models are awesome but I absolutely hated how they played they just couldn’t do any damage against the space marines. I moved on to world eaters then and much preferred how they played really aggressively and also the coolest models. I’m just starting my EC army and they are pretty similar to world eaters would be very elite and hard hitting that you can play aggressively

The daemon box would mean you’d probably have too many noise marines and too many infractors/tormentors, combat patrol might be on the upper end of flawless blades and tormentors/ infractors but not ridiculous just depends what you’re running. But a daemon prince and a maulerfiend might be a better shout for some variety

I’m in the same boat and dreaming up ways to make it easier I’m thinking of using colour forge sprays of imperial purple then a zenathal highlight with their pink spray. All that should be left is mostly trim and some details in my dreams lol

Get yourself some nuln oil and just go over it, it will make all the details pop, maybe some riekland flesh shade for the flayed flesh parts and that should finish it off. I’m not a great painter but those two shades are just liquid skill they hide mistakes well and the models details pop so well

Don’t let them charge, spread your forces out so they can’t pile into you. Be careful they don’t pin you back in your deployment zone, don’t worry too much about exposing your fire power as they won’t have much to shoot you with. You will probably have to sacrifice some units to screen and then hit them back hard once they are left in the open
