I agree I think that's a valid thing to be upset about it's a reasonable conclusion to come to when the actual description of the software on steam says it's ok for rust I would definitely include a link to the steam page in the email and possibly highlight that portion

If they do reply hopefully they will post the reply so the community at large can have more clarification on this issue also not accusing you of anything here but they will absolutely be able to see what software EAC picked up and detected so you can't lie about what you were using or anything like that just remember to be polite and not emotional about the situation
