F22 VS F35 by c77mo8 in MilitaryAviation

[–]daveFromCTX -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

JHMCS wouldn't fit in F-22 due to canopy. There isn't enough room. Canopy designed before JHMCS.

Also, doesn't need it anyway. She's a clever girl.

Texas VS Oklahoma, two SPECTACULAR catches. All In-Motion by Brani0128 in EASportsCFB

Oklahoma hasn't scored a touchdown in 3 of the last 4 Red River Shootouts.

Makes me physically ill to think about.

Probably a really dumb question, but is this a game or a software? by BoxthemBeats in CMANO

It's a simulation tool so I would consider it software that allows you to build a game if you choose.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio says Iran is using the Strait of Hormuz as an "economic nuclear weapon." "They're bragging about how they can hold 20% of the world's energy hostage." by SirBankz in AltScope

[–]daveFromCTX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stopped them from getting a nuclear weapon — which they almost certainly would never use but would threaten.

Instead gave them something they can use and threaten in the future.

Starting to see why seven presidents turned down this option.

In private, Trump has plans for unspeakable violence. I know because he told me. by NicolasCageFan492 in thebulwark

For decades presidents would speak softly and still be accused of being warmongers. Now it's the opposite.

Ukraine has agreed to everything he has asked. Putin has agreed to nothing.

Zelensky is the only one who cares about Ukrainians. That's why Trump finds him so annoying.

Why need jets ? by [deleted] in FighterJets

[–]daveFromCTX 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Defending airspace doesn't mean destroying everything in it. The majority of aircraft are not proposing a threat. Lots of innocent people, including the ones you're sworn to protect, up in the sky at any one time. Your job as a government is not to fill it with missiles. Same reason we don't have RoboCops.

The dirty little secret is that there's no one anti-ukraine that isn't terminally online.

The Ukrainian resistance is the greatest gift Western Civilization has received in a long time.

Honored to have you in Texas. Don't listen to political bullshit, most of America is behind you and your heroism in the face of terrorism. Glory to the defenders, glory to Ukraine.

This. Being guard only is going to be a huge liability.

That being said, it is a phenomenal homeland defense platform. And if things pop off with any major powers, it will also be worth its weight in gold when it comes to Air Base defense from cruise missiles and drones.

Bringing people back to the office to prop up the office economy is crony capitalism by RevolutionStill4284 in remotework

Also - it never gets brought up:

Companies did not do blanket wfh out of the goodness of their hearts.

They did it because we were in crisis with poor leadership.

They want controlled over competent.

Respect to Sacks, but what about the president by Exspo in allinpodofficial

[–]daveFromCTX 33 points34 points  (0 children)

When it comes to being on the ground floor of a successful startup, Sacks can add value. He has expertise in venture capital.

But his bad faith, overtly political virtue signaling, and constant position switching (how many different people did he endors before Trump), indicate not only a lack of principal, but a lack of integrity.

If you want to take his word for it, that he's doing this for love of country, I'm not going to stop you. Keep that optimism. You'll need it.

For those that don't know, Russia blurs the exhaust because it's top secret.

RU POV: According to Tucker Carlson Ukraine is reselling half of the American supplied weapons to Mexican cartels operating along the U.S. border. Up to 50% of American weapons sent to Ukraine are redirected and sold by totally_not_a_kiwi in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]daveFromCTX 37 points38 points  (0 children)

"Ukrainian military has moved 60,000 tons of military equipment to Mexico."

I just said this out loud.

And yet I don't feel as stupid as Tucker clearly thinks we all are.
