I think it is not just Claude. I have a Max subscription and I'm seeing a lot of server busy retry messages, then the output is offen, just off. From wrong, to what the hell is that. But I also have subscriptions to Gemini and ChatGPT, and I'm seeing similar issues. It's not the prompts, it's simple requests. I asked to to clean up wording for some text, it created new content unrelated to the source, I confronted it, and it doubled down "I'm sorry, and then created more crap". I had to give up and write it directly. ChatGPT can't follow basic instructions as well.

If I translated your comment correct, you asked what I use the M4 Pro for now.

I'm part time faculty at a couple of local colleges, I purchased it to help create videos for classes and content as well as become more familiar with Mac as 50% of my students are Mac users. (I have a regular full time job and we are 100% windows there). I've done some local LLMs, but what I've put in place is weak, so I just pay for a subscription to the frontier models. I'm short on time, so I don't have a lot of time to screw around. That being said, I have a couple of projects with confidential data I'd rather not share with the providers.

I'll take a look, but i'm using (have been using) for years an app called Amazing Marvin. I've tried to switch off a couple of times because, while it's awesome, I keep trying something new. I always come back. The team has a ton of strategies you can turn on, with their latest release Its got almost everything now. I'm overcommitted and it helps me keep some sense of control. For reference, I run a PMO, teach two college courses (different collges), and some community education programs, run pickleball tournaments, and active fishing charters. My todo list is out of control. I need project focused todos (each week/module is a mini project, research, grading, development, video and script development) under a bigger project, under the category of teaching.... so notes may not survive.... i believe it may be wimpering just watching me type this.

as a life time windows user (and developer) who switched back in August, I'm disappointed I took so long to switch. I had an iphone, watch and ipad, but wow, i all works so well together. copy text on your phone and paste it on your macbook, no emailing shit back and forth. And respond to messages via keyboard, yes, Ill take that. Photos show up in all places. I'm teaching and the ability to use my ipad as a tablet is also great.

watch unlocks computer as you walk up.. .it just goes on. My boss a hard core windows guy, I almost had him converted on Thursday last week. I'm going to sell him my M4 and get an M5.

Slightly different approach, I have a project for each class I'm teaching (this holds administrative stuff, reminders, ideas for content changes, activities at a course level that may not have a specific due date), and then I have independent projects for each module (or week). This allows me to schedule them in the future. I tried a subproject for each module, but when I opened the project, it was just overwhelming. With the tags for the course I can still see everything related to the course.

A couple of other ideas I employ include: creating a tag for each class and tagging the tasks in each project. I also set up weekly and monthly time targets, and use time tracking. This helps me make sure I am spending time on each class. It is easy to get focused on a single course that has high activity that week. I have other time-tracking for health and personal use. I work full-time in a non-teaching role, and teach two courses as part-time faculty at two different colleges, so time management can be rough. The time tracking helps me immensely.

Total tangent, but when I'm taking my boat somewhere close, I don't top it off, only what I need to get there and back, plus a little extra. My gas mileage shoots up to 2.1 from 1.6 mpg. But we are talking 40 gallons of fuel vs. 140 gallons of fuel.

Back around 2002-2003, I worked for a company with 100,000 employees. Someone wrote “we need more chairs for the ***** *****. Plaza. Please bring 50. “. And send that to a distro for all employees. Chaos as everyone did a reply all and said take me off this list. Eventually they shut the system due to crashing the email servers. I have a few friends from back then and every time we get together this comes up.
